Sorry. Can you please educate me on what full controller support means when a game says it, so I don't keep making the same mistake in the future? Thanks. I still enjoyed the game and plan on finishing it....
I'm sure the game already has a default controller setup in place that should work right out of the box. The game also lets you choose which controller's buttons to show via hints in gameplay and all that (the game really can't detect what type of controller you're using, I doubt any game can, anything other than an Xbox 360/One controller is not native and requires Emulator programs, with the exception of the PS4 controller which is supported by Steam).
It should work out of the box without having to configure anything. Unless you have a really old controller that Windows has issues with.
I have a PS4, Wii, GameCube and a PC... I prefer my PC for modding games, PC exclusives, like mean greens, also playing much older games. Other than that, I would much rather own just a PS4 or even a original Xbox hooked up with Xlink so I can play online. I'm getting a much better PC soon or maybe even build one myself. I'm trying to get into the PC world but half of everyone I've met in forums and in online games are completely toxic or utter PC snobs. Its sickening and downright dissapointing.
As to method of control, mouse and keyboard is much more precise for skilled players in shooters. I'm in the camp that FPS and RTS games need to be played with m&kb, but a controller is perfectly fine for everything else. You can use whatever you want really but mouse aiming truly is more precise than using sticks.
