Report a translation problem
Screenshots please? So we could fix this.
Some of our translators actually used GT, we fixed most of their doings, but there are still leftovers there and there.
Currently Im on the Justice Island and some dialogues there are actually in Russian. (Gossip after certain plot events is Russian)
Some people call me senior instead of Senor which was amusing. Also the recipe for grenade states you need ♥♥♥♥♥ of copper metal instead of sheet :)
I really hope the translation gets better over time but then I will probably be finished with the game.
For me its very immersion breaking and this game is an adventure not just sea battles and swordfights. I can't get rid of the feeling that some information you get is inaccurate and also some information is missing.
I tryed to get the quest to pop up again to show the dialog, but it seems to be randomly given quest. The only info i can give you is that on the quest log the quest is named the "Burnt ship in port royal"
I am not talking about the whole game, i am fine with most of it, it is understandable , it was just THAT quest.
My native language isn't English, so i don't find that as an excuse. I live in Estonia 26% of the population here are Russians, i know plenty of Russians who can speak perfect English and could have Translated this into perfect English, so being Russian is not an excuse. Your trying to defend them but what you actually said is "Their Russians, their too stupid to learn correct English".
I just rolled my eyes so hard they might have fell out of my head, please send help. It's been about an hour and I can't find them, for I can no longer see.
"My Immersion" is the probably the weakest criticism of any game, ever.
Also maybe you should play a bit more past the tutorial to see the texts yourself.
You know what distracts from my Steam immersion? Fools who complain about poorly translated text and then proceed to put a giant typo in there own topic.
This post is hilarious. Thank you sir, for the entertainment. And remember folks, don't feed the trolls.
If you went to watch a movie, where the dialog had huge spelling and grammar mistakes you would not be fine with it. Video games are the exact same thing, a source of entertainment that has evolved to the point where google translator is NOT ok, in any shape or form.
