Still cannot find a navigator

It says he's in the prison, but asking around the docks yielded nobody knew despite what the tavern keeper says. Where do you get the navigator? I know he's in the prison but I can't get past the damn warden. A little help would be good. Thanks.

If your journal says he is in prison go talk to officer sitting near exit there. then go talk to usurer.

The journal says to ask the barkeep, and the barkeep says to ask around the docks but when I ask around the docks everybody says they don't know a navigator.

Keep asking. You're supposed to learn from some random person on the streets about him.

Okay, so I finished the navigator quest, and got all of the required goods to make my ship functional and sailed to guadloupe....now what? Journal is not very helpful. I can't seem to dock at any other ports and I can't find crew and the list goes on. This game really needs a better tutorial and manual.

This game need a LOT more then just a tutorial, biggest buggiest mess of crap i have ever played, yet i still have 43 hours played and still going up, then again i played AoP 1 and 2 so i expected a buggy mess that i somehow still like, just hope no critic ever looks it.
