1 million peso in 6 hours.
I've heard rumours about english besieging Willemstad. Funny thing is, if you actually sail to said colony the attacking fleet will be destroyed by the fort 90% of the time. So I was chilling near Saint-Pierre waiting for the results. Finally I hear that dutch defences have fallen and I move to intercept the victors. English squadron was moving on global map towards their nearest colony - Bridgetown.

Near Cumana we meet - my heavy frigate vs their 2 heavy frigates and 3 basic ones. Two of their ships were badly dmg'd, others were ok.
18:26 is when their flagship gets a close range broadside of grapeshot followed by boarding. Cap has 500k peso in his cabin - ransom for Willemstad. 6 hours and 1500+ deaths later it's all finished - squadron is no more, they refused to surrender. Last ship had a surprise - another 500k peso in cap's cabin! In fact, it has the same loot as the flagship - money, Curacao map, 3 bottles of rum and 1 bottle of wine.
23:42 is when i land near Cumana and share the spoils. Sure, crew got 400k, but since I had no spare officer I haven't kept any of the taken ships. I could've get 3 frigates with 120+ cannons and other goods that weren't that dmg'd (one ship was in perfect condition).

Anyway, not sure if loot from last ship was a bug or what.

Nice.

I captured today a pirate fleet (2 corvettes and one heavy galleon) with 258 ironwood, 330 resin, 332 ropes, also mahogany, tobacco and vanilla that are at least 300.000 peso total.

But only that ironwood if i am to sell to the Dutch, that pay 40 doubloons a piece, means 10320 doubloons. At 100 peso a doubloon, it means 1.032.000 peso only for the ironwood. The total pesos for all the loot must be insane.

I am curious how much the smugglers pay for ironwood, ropes, resin and shipsilk.

The fight was very easy, with a frigate with only 1/3 of the crew. I use the frigate Albatross captured in the quest A Long Way to Gallows. I improved it's maneuverability. Amazing ship. The Portuguese was right calling it his beauty. :) It's stats are randomly generated, but i was lucky getting a great one.

How do you get dubloons for it? I've only ever been able to sell the ironwood in Beliz so far

During the quest Pirate Saga, you can meet a Dutch Trader that buys ironwood. After that he can be contacted through the smuggler in Saint Martin. He only buy batches of at least 100 pieces.

Fadey mentioned there is a buyer for ropes also, and I wonder if there are buyers for all of the „strategic” goods or the case of ironwood is an exception.

The strategic goods can also be sold to the captains of other trading ships. Send boat to the convoy leader, if it is a convoy, and trade, but i don't think they offer good prices. Smugglers must buy them too, although I don't waste my time with smugglers because to meet them means having a small ship. I intend to check their prices at least.

How much does he buy in one go from you? I've sold ironwood to him three times, he only bought 90-100 units per deal. Some say he'll buy more after more deals, but I can't be bothered to sail across the map 10 times for him.
If the Pirate Saga was fully completed & you gave up Justice Island sailing directions to Dios there is a quest available from ship master in Sharptown. He'll buy 200 ironwood, 250 resin, 200 shipsilk & 180 ropes for 17k doubloons.

Take a look at this:

Right now, during a Hot Raid against a pirate line ship with silver. In his cabin, a huge surprise. 2747 emeralds. I think there's no way to take more than 600 and that only after i drop all i can drop. including my ornamented armor, gun, ammo and other nice loot like bags of doubloons.
How much an emerald can be sold for? I think there is over 1.000.000 pesos right there.

This is painful. :)

PS Well, I forgot I cannot remove my equipment during boarding. I wasn't prepared for this.:)
Never saw 10 stones together in a captains cabin before, and all of the sudden 2747?

Also cannot remove the stuffed bags of doubloons. In total I can take only 861 emeralds.

I reloaded, dropped everything except a light rapier and things that cannot be removed...

The guy has obviously a massive random treasure on board, he was a very successful pirate. But it is so unfair. :)

The ship is captured, Why cannot i keep everything. :)

1133 rubies is all i could take. At 474 pesos it means 537.000 pesos.

So I checked the prices a an usurer and the value for all the treasures in the cabin were
1.076.000 pesos in rubies, 667.000 pesos in amethysts, 503.000 pesos in gold nuggets.
