help to make money in the start of the game
Hi
Im new to this game but old to pirates etc.
Dont have a clue on making money in the start of the game. Done the cave mission, rum, the bank mission and got my ship. but Im short of money to get some sailors. Talked to all the people int the city and the Piretes nest but no one have a mission.
Even spend some nights in the tavan.
Can someone help me. suppose Im just an idiot to the game :)

Did you ask the governor? Shop owner? They usually have something.

I suggest to start with delivery missions - you get some money and level up your nav skill that way. After you earn some capital and (maybe) buy yourself more capacious ship, I suggest buying black and red wood at Blueweld (English port at wester mainland) and selling it at Port Royal (Jamaica).

in the start area the way i made up for the short coming of mission income was going to the tavern every new day and gambling dice 100 per die cards 300 per card save before doing so and just keep reloading till you win, if they are short money just reload till they have max money. it takes a little while but once you get the hang of it its fast and easy way to make a couple thousand pesos. then theres always the houses always check houses and such for loot to sell. do all missions govenor harbor master ship write taverns and even people in the streets have missions.

once you start the actual game i suggest going to port royal, in 6 months in the game i made 2mill just leading pirate ships back to the fort once they are weakend board them loot them and either cap or sink. sell everything you can to the shop then get to the smugglers for the rest, some ships can net you 200k gain in profit depending on cargo. port royal is the best for selling as everything is import other than food and rum cloths too but cloths you may as well dump overboard. anything thats not imports are banned so smugglers pay huge payouts for them.

thx for all the your inputs. The problem is that no one have a mission for me. Looting the houses. Yes got it.
Think I'll try the dice so I can rise the 8000 needed to get a crew :)
thx. If you get any other ideers so let me know.
Thx

Hi , have a talk to right handed solgier at the entrance of the fort, if you did not do it before. You will get the proposition.

don't worry we all had no clue what to do in the beginning.
You actually missed a few missions in the beginning that you should do before buying your ship (maybe you could start a new game).
The shop owner has a few missions for you that you can do quite fast.
In the streets there is a guy that wants you to arrange a meeting with one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the brothel. He gives you 6000-7000, you then have to pay 3000-3500 to the brothel owner and can keep the rest.
Also when you did the cave mission there was a corpse in the jungle which had earrings that you can sell for 4000 to the shop owner or give it to the governor , receive a map and sell this map for 4800 to the monk merchant.
After all this you should have around 30000. Talk to the soldier at the entrance of the fort (outside city gates take the path on the right). He wants a bottle of wine, go back to one of the merchants on the market and buy one and return to the fort on the next day and go upstairs to the last floor of the fort. Then you can get another mission for wine with which you can basically double 30000 pesos (you need 30000 pesos to buy the maximum amount of wine and he will pay you 60000 for it)
Like this you have enough money to buy the ship, the crew and also to buy supplies as you need food, medecine , weapons ,gunpowder and rum
