Character models

Are there any other alternate character models for charles? I managed to find one here on steam that was a slight change, but just looking through the web ive seen screenshots of charles in all kind of fancy suits and hats. (From what i can gather these arent the lamport suits and normal cuirasses you get in the game unless theres additional ones i havent found yet)

I cannot for the life of me find out if its something i can download or if if there is a way to swap out charles' model with an npc by editing files or what have you. As some of the npc's have fantastic models i would love to steal

Any help in making charles look like a true french fop would be appreciated

Parhaps you've seen screenshot from city of abandoned shops mods? They've offered a lot of options.

It definetly didnt seem to be, i saw it floating around in the pirates ahoy site in their screenshot thread that was for this game. Could be wrong though, but even changing a file to swap models with an npc would be fantastic, i just wish i knew how.

Hi! Thankyou for your reply this has gotten me alot closer than i thought i would, i'd almost given up trying to figure it out.

I managed to find the convertertx thing to look at the textures and stuff but im unsure how to proceed. For example if i want to make charles use the model for fleetwood from the dutch gambit english side. Which charles texture would i rename his texture to once i found it? As there appears to be like 8 of them, they appear to be of the different cuirasses. Not sure if i have to rename all of them aswell.

And what specifically would i be renaming it? Would i also have to delete the npc model/texture file or leave a copy of it behind? Sorry im a total noob when it comes to this stuff

Edit: I found the textures for the fleetwood fella but unable to find the model just yet

Thankyou so much! It took me a bit to rename everything but i got it done, Charles is now the fanciest of lads! Been obsessed with the fleetwood skin since i saw it so thankyou again.

I also made certain to backup all the originals

Very much appreciate you taking the time to figure it out for me. I had almost given up hope.

Hey, i'm interested in this discussion. I too would like to edit my main character as i like the look of other character's and npc's.

If it's a mod would you be able to link me to where the mod is. Iv'e been trying to search in pirates ahoy but had no luck.

They literally deleted every single of my SD:TEHO forum posts for a ban that came from a steam error.

GMViewer (Model Viewer)
ConvertorTX (Texture viewer + Texture convertor .tga.tx <-> .tx
Last one is not necessary and is only used to modify the texture itself. - Photoshop, photoline or anything similar.
