Rum Matters not working

So i wrote down my password "old Thomas has grown tired of waiting for the beer"

the guy on the ship asks me who i am and i give him my password and i get thrown over board
i tried that like 10 times then i went to the guides and saw there are other passwords so i tried them all like 5 times. And guess what im thrown over board again. Every sentence ill end up on the beach and the quest is failed.
Yeah i know the quest is not mandatory but i like to complete stuff.
is there a sixth password? or what can i do without starting all over again?

so any ideas what i can do?

Hmm i just tried every password starting with a capital letter none of them is working ... no idea why i even let another person check if im writing every sentence right, because im doubting myself meanwhile in everything.

just the first word as "Old" not "OLD"

so i took the passwordsws from the landlubbers steam community guide:

The first one was the one i was given originally and noted it down on a sheet of paper
1: "old Thomas has grown tired of waiting for the beer"
tested here aswell "Old Thomas..." and "Old thomas...."

2: "the boards and the oakum will be here in the morning"
"The boards...."
(found one Thread which said its "The hoards and the ...")

3: "don't wait for the south wind"
"Dont wait...." and "dont wait ..."

4: "the bay is ready for disembarkation"
"The bay...."

5: "the camels are going north"
"The camels ..."

as far as i can tell one of these should work but no luck

considering older saves i have only 2 one at the pier right before sailing towards the ghost and one right before sending the longboat to the ghost

I have the same issue right now.

The password I had was exactly the same, about Thomas and the beer, and the smuggler just refuses to accept it :)

Make sure you're typing it exactly right with no extra spaces or anything, try other passwords too.

lol, I can't even get to the Ghost due to no longboat appearing in the pier :/
