Firing front guns on Xebec damages your own sails...
title.. this is annoying.

It's similar for corvette, galleon, heavy galleon, heavy frigate and some other ships.

Standing on the bow deck of the Privateer Ketch and firing forward i even hear sound of the tearing sails and see holes. Perhaps this happens only when firing from the deck.

I tested it hunting a small ship and firing grape shot with the 4 forward guns. Suddenly i was at half sails. The enemy had no rear weapons and every salvo killed my blue bar a little,

Firing from 3rd person view.

Kind of when standing on a deck you shoot by your eyes :)

But i dont have a crosshair while on deck. thats why i sail the "usual" way.

I have a crosshair of yellow or red color while on a deck but not on an outside view

Your supposed to use the front cannons to shoot the enemy ship not a Hand Morter loaded with Shrapnell!
