I think not. Once you miss any of the Final Lesson quests they are gone for good.

I missed the Coming home quest and could't get it back again.

Did you check uphill?

You first fight the smugglers on the hill. And after that the French officer and his men on the beach.

Did you receive the message that Topaz is gone and it's safe to moor?

yes exactly but when I move uphill nothing is there, this is very sad
Haven't done the DLC for a while. As I remember you have to wait far from the shore untill the tartane leaves. Then land at shore. spg81 is right that you get the message it is ok to land.
I waited at Grandburge cove I think it was 2 days but not sure now at all.
If you Land before theTopaz leaves then they are alerted and not there at arrival.
The Topaz sits far out in the bay you can see when it leaves then sail to that beach without using Go To or the global map.

I have a question about this quest too. Does the first part bug out sometimes? I ask because I got the first part of the quest and the guy said that they'd leave from Trinidad in 2 days, but I got there in about a day and spent almost a week down by Trinidad fighting and avoiding pirates, but the ship never left Trinidad and the quest never failed.

I think the quest is very specific in its line of events. It may have information in the text that is not in the log.

The convoy is to leave San Jose in 1 days from the shipyard conversation and can be found anywhere along the route over the next 3 weeks.
You will have to esimate its path of direction and cut it off on its route.

I would think you could meet it on the global map by sitting half way betwene San Jose and Martinique as its route can not be much varied from there.

I guess I'll just have to try again. I sailed back and forth one of the times I tried. I'll just keep at it.

You probably wont see it till it is a days journey fron Trinidad. Those pirate battles probaly let it slip away.

If there is to much pirate attention you could try waiting betwene Martinique and Dominica, or fly the pirate flag. Nonbounty pirates will then ignore. Then switch the flag back as soon as you see the purple ship.

Yeah I tried flying the pirate flag, but most of them still just came right for me. At least I could outrun most of them this time. :)

Pirate flag does exacty nothing in terms of IFF in this Sea Dogs, as opposed to most previous ones.
And rightly so. No honor among opportunisti criminal scum on high seas.

This actually isn't true, at least as far as my experience thus far. When not on certain quests raising the Jolly Roger actually does keep pirates from going for you. The trade off is that some ships from all other nations may try to chase you down. Like I said it seems to only be an issue when certain quests are active in your log.

Bounty hunters will attack no matter what. Some quests have pirate ships following you. If change flag after getting the attention of one pirate at stop most times they turn friendly.
When hooked by 2 usually one will always attacks.
And yes when flying the pirate flag when not having quest NPC pirate attacker, most every pirate ignores you.

Code of the Brotherhood.
