Мое мнение: за компанию интереснее. Но за англичан - лучше награды
А еще лучше - сделать save на точке выбора, пройти оба и решить самому

My opinion: the company is more interesting. But for the British - better than reward
Better yet - do save on the point of choice, go through both and decide for yourself.

За голландцев получите очень быструю и маневренную легкую шебеку, но с не очень прочным корпусом и небольшими командой и трюмом. И преданного офицера-штурмана (навигация 50). Из редкого оружия - карабин
За англичан - приватирский кеч. Более прочный, с самой большой, из гамбитных кораблей, командой, пушек то же бльше, скорсть меньше, но не критично. маневренность меньше заметно. Преданный офицер - канонир (меткость и пушки по 65). Из редкого оружия - клеванг. Но сама линейка - короче и проще

as matt mentioned duch story is more interesting + u get a musket for caleuche. But english part gives very good and usefull officer and op class 4 ♥♥♥♥ with which you can challange 2nd class ships, i personally skipped 3rd class and sailed with that ship ketch ship until i was kinda forced to move into 2nd class ship.

Aside from some of the quest officers, the rewards aren't all that good. You aren't playing for the rewards, but for the story itself. This is why you save before making the choice, so you can play all three paths.

For example, the Meifeng light xebec isn't nearly as good as a normal xebec that you can buy or capture. By the time I started the Dutch Gambit I already had a xebec and a polacre, and I left them at Martinique because I knew I'd lose them. The only advantage to the Meifeng is that it's a class 4 ship while the normal xebec is class 3, so a player with less experience can sail her.

Xebecs are available at Dutch and Spanish shipyards after you reach level 8, but you may have to save scrum the shipyard if you're in a hurry to get one. At one point I had a fleet of 5, so they're not that hard to get.

One reason I didn't continue with the Dutch Gambit is that I was stuck with the Meifeng and couldn't sell her. I didn't think to sink the thing at the time. :)

There are other items such as crafting tools that you can only get through quests, so if you're interested in such things this is how you get them. You'll need to research the forums and guides to find out what all you get.

Thank you, Matt, you too! Did you do it the third way? Secret organisation is a most evil, pirate way. A good ship and good melee officer in reward. The craft items are going to you in any case. Reward is mostly about the kind of quest officer you prefer: english get a cannoneer, company - a navigator. All 3 ships are very good and beautiful. And I forgot to say, there is a way to get both Meifeng (but it is difficult), when you play for the secret organisation.

Yesterday I finished English path and now I think that West India Company path gives your more money and English path gives your better ship. Total pesos reward with Dutch path near 900 000 pesos, Total reward with English path near 520 000 pesos. And after English path you will have price on your head form Holland so your need to spend near 75 000 pesos to remove it. So money reward from Dutch two time bigger than from England.

This playthrough I will be doing the secret organization in Barbados.
I agree that the Holland Gambit has greater monetary reward but Charlie Knipple as a cannoneer to me is worth more then the money lost. His stats can't be beat by a tavern hired Officer this early in the game on Normal mode and above.
As LHookins mentions above ^ it is good to try all 3 for the difference in story.

Yes, officer in English path better too. And Charlie Knipple will be your officer in any case, but Longway not nessecary will join you. When I finished WIC Dutch Gambit I even did not see Longway at the dungeon (maybe he was killed by Hercule).

I am 3 months into my current game, 4 January, and I have a xebec and over 1.9 million pesos, 700 doubloons, 13 chests of doubloons and a Dutch trading license good for another 5 months. I also have several good weapons and armor and almost all the amulets and trinkets. I expect to make more than 1 million per month doing honest trading and simple quests.

Don't do the Dutch Gambit for the money. :)

The best path in my oppinion is the Secret Organisation( if you don't mind being a tad evil). The English and Dutch paths are cool storywise. I would rank the English path as the second most useful for me( because of Charlie as an officer).

I agree, Secret Organization path gives to you best ship, best officer and best money reward.And it's not such evil path, I started it as a rascal and finished as a honest captain.
