Final Lesson, Bonus Quest [SPOILERS]
Has anyone been able to beat the guide man in the last quest ? You can take 1/4 of the loot and leave but I want to know if it is possible.

If so, how did you handle the bomindian ? (bomber guy)

I will try to do it with a musket, go straight for the indian and shoot him, may not work as I am playing in impossible difficulty but meh I gotta try.

I think that red ape is invincible, the other 3 fencer are easy to deal with but he has 400hp around with several elixir, just impossible to kill him while he's reloading, and one shot from that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mortar Charles is done. Maybe he's useless if you turn off the 'auto reload' option, but I don't even want to try it.

Muskets of all kinds aren't affected by "disable auto-reload" option.

You'll need both Prosper and Klod to even have a chance in that fight, and still it will likely take 50-60 save reloads untill victory.

Officers do not come to the fight, I tried :/

Officers don't, but if you manage to recruit Claude Durand, he and Prosper will show up.
I would highly recommend to complete A Price of Consumption quest before doing this boss fight. The thing is, during this quest you acquire the only Ometochli Tincture available at this point of the game, which is a HUGE help.

So that means you could swing your musket to hit your enemy and reload it at the same time lmao.

I got Prosper and Clod ofc, but Prosper is dead with 1 motar shot, Clod is dead within several attacks from the boss, sad.

That's the point, maybe Ometochil Tincture is neccessary to kill that indian fast enough.

Yeah, basically the goal here is to kill the indian before your two helpless allies arrive, otherwise they're screwed. And I'm guessing the only way to do so is to use the tincture.

We need an admin to tell us if it is possible
@alex6672010 The idea of getting Ometochil 1st is great. Now I think the most possible way is, bring a loaded musket with you, when the fight begins, we trie to make the indian waste his 1st shot on the 3 enemies, then we run to him and give him a musket bullet, this will deal at least 100+ damage to him. After the shot we immediately unequip the musket and drink Ometochil Tincture, finish him in several attacks(I think it's complete possible under the effect of Ometochil Tincture, maybe we could kill him even before the effect fades away), the rest is a piece of cake.

It is possible, I do it every game(with the help of Cheat Engine).

Good idea, actually. Are you playing as the Gunner? I'm playing as the Gymnast and I never select Musketeer perk, do it only with a blade.
I take Professional fencer to maximize crit rate and Blade dance to increase group attack damage. The blade - the best saber I can find at the moment (usually the Messer looted from this pirate guy in Tortuga tavern) As soon as the fight begins, run in circles and dodge Gregoire's two shots. Then dodge the indian's shot and then immediately run to him. Wait for the rest of the crowd, then drink tincture and rush them with group attack. The trick here is to take out BOTH the indian and Gregoire (God bless critical hits). Then the usual dodging/hitting stuff with running across the beach. On Normal difficulty - takes some effort, but doable. On Hard - beating it right now, getting killed too fast.

True, they suck even on Hard. Durand is garbage, but if you manage to distract the guys from Prosper, he'll be some help at least.
@alex6672010
Nope, I usually play gymnastics and fencing too, no energy lose is the best choice among 4 of them. I think in normal difficulty a blade and Ometochil Tincture is enough, musket is a good completion and ensurance of success, it deals a lot of damage yet doesn't require energy. I'll try this idea later!

The choice among rapier, sabre and axe in this occasion is another interesting issue, using axe could kill the indian in shortest time, but you need to rest for a while to restore energy, while rapier could make you attack continually, and using sabre you can use group attack to maximize the effect of Ometochil Tincture(appliy it upon all the enemies). I can't tell which one is the best without practice.
alex6672010 Jun 11, 2017 @ 9:11am
Yaay, did it on Hard. Just as I wrote: first musketeer and Greg, then the two others. Durand died a hero's death after dealing 7 dmg and taking two hits, Prosper - not even scratched (although one of the mercenaries tried to kill him after being treacherously shot in the back).
Grats. Maybe the key to success is don't care about Clod Durand and just let him go lol.
