What really happend in the past when OB was a new game, was that i got that nasty save bug, as soon it loads up it crashes ingame in a few sec in a kind of a loop, same place whatever you traid to do, it simple crashed.
In those oldest TES forums,
"Cant remember" But the hardcore fans find this thing out, and if am not littery wrong?
I believe Betshed also admited that there is a bug engine saving foult in there!?
It´s like, the bigger the save file becomes the more possibilites there are that your char will die one day due to that wierd crash bug.
I just bought the big Deluxe steam version, as i bought my old DVD OB long time ago that big special box edition DVD where ever it´s hidding today? LOL
So thats the only thing i started to remember, something that you guys started to talk about i suppose here :)
The story ends that some moder fixed a save repair mod called OAF v1.2 Now keep in mind that i dont know if this as been fixed by a patch now or if OAF exist in better version. Atleast, i just wanted to cheer some info, from a oldy as me, incase this nasty save bug will ever jump up on you guys :)
PS. Oh and to your answers, I have always said this in games for more then 20 years, that If there are side queasts/mission, or a further lenght in a game, whatever the category we might speak about, RPG RTS FPS etc etc, To gain more hours and littery see every cut scene movie, new places and secret places, it´s all worth it, incase the player have ambition and time and enjoying.
The only main prob in some games, it can spoil us some secrets, or we can run into a nasty bug. Or a bug that the devolupers didnt really knew that a player would have done this or that kind of thing. The last bad thing i can come up with is, incase that particlely player after such many hours of side missions and place investigations, maybe gets so tired of it, and not get the energy later on, onto the main quest? :)
Summing up. "personal game style" Yes for longer game play, yes for more discovery of the world, yes for all or atleast many side quest as possible,
A game cost vs hours played = Many hours is a good deal for the price what it might have costed us in money :) I guess what we can call in the gaming world, Good investment, Thats why some greedy publishers dont wont us to being able to buy or play old games today that also having a greater and more stabile working mod community ^^

Hi again, Ah ok cheers for a fully informative explanation from your side this time, :) Well, some ppl do understand what i mean some perhaps gets slide of confusing were i am heading to, the longer my sentence goes the harder perhaps it´s to understand what i mean? Thank you for telling me tho from your point of view :) I can only do my best, and try to do it better next time.
It´s not my native languge, and no search for sympati if i include to say. i have a handicap. But lots of us might have one and diffrent one as well it´s not an excuse, but to point out that sometimes some one have it a bet harder then others, but still keeps trying she´s / he´s best out there :)
