Crash on startup
Booting it from the launcher, tried booting with DLC and without and it crashes with a windows error report and essentially locks my screens up. Is this common? What do?

Verify integrity of game cache or delete your .ini

I had exactly the same problem, I tried almost everything, delete .ini, reinstall, change directory and so on. The only thing that worked for me was to delete the oblivion folder (C:\users\myuser\My documents\My Games\Oblivion) . Found the fix, apparently when you run dual monitors that are not the same resolution you need to disable v. sync
