The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Most fun/funny build for this game?
I'm looking for a new way to play the game this playthrough. I really just want a funny/silly way to play the game, seeing as how the game is already so ridiculous. I'm making my character as absolutely ugly as possible and I want some gimmicky roleplaying thing in my playthrough, like you can only use a certain weapon, or you have to do something everytime you kill an enemy, etc. Also if you can, maybe include some sort of backstory for the character that is super stupid/silly. It can break the lore completely as I don't really care for immersion in this playthrough, and it can be super cliche too as long as it's funny.

You could only use magic from mods like midas magic and the one or two other big custom spells mods. Or just try out nehrim if you want a standalone game.
Something silly eh. How about...

MASTER SPLINTER.

Ninjitsu master, teacher of radioactive turtles, attains wisdom and enlightenment from constantly being whacked out on Skooma. Doesn't wear gear other than a plain robe, doesn't use weapons.

Male Argonian made to look like a mouse, Custom class, Combat Specialisation, Strength and Speed, Steed Sign.

Starting Stats: Str 50 Int 40 Will 30 Ag 50 Sp 75 End 30 Per 30 Luck 50.

Major Skills: Hand to Hand, Athletics, Acrobatics, Restoration, Mercantile, Sneak, ??? .

Minor Skills of use: Alchemy, Illusion, Mysticism, Alteration.

Runs really fast, sneaks, punches things. Occasionally pulls support magic out of the hat to resolve situations. Bows to opponents after defeating them [crouch?].

Consistently visits Shady Sam in the Imperial City and several vendors in Bravil for his skooma 'enlightenment' fix. Uses ancient knowledge from the temple to compensate for side-effects [damaged intelligence restored from spell].

There's a 'Hoe' from the Merhunes Razor Plugin, and clubs could be a silly staple weapon. Maybe something with them if you're not into hand to hand lol.

Sounds very fun, thanks for the idea! I will be doing something very similar
Haha no problem, monks are always silly.

A few things to keep in mind with a build like that:

Shield spells from alteration stack if they have different names. So even with moderate alteration skill it's possible to boost armour rating quite high for a short period of time.

Illusion rocks. Even if it's a minor, raise it high early on. A 'Paralysing Palm' maneouvre is rather effective.

Hand to hand damage is effected by fortify fatigue spells to a small extent ( I think up to 200?). It says somewhere on the wiki anyway.

Damage and drain fatigue in combination with hand to hand can work just as well, if not better than, Paralysis.

Alchemy is fun for making super potions, and can be easily increased by mashing food into restore fatigue potions.

In the event that you ever get Restoration to 100: you can become very silly. Outlined here:

Best of luck :)

It enlightened my Khajiit Martial Artist play style thanks, he had been stuck in Duke Patrick's Melee combat system. But he has to learn magic first.
Managed to find a thingy:

https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/927345-the-elder-scrolls-iv-oblivion/63872936

"I don't see how that works. According to UESP the damage formula is:
Damage * ( ( Current Fatigue / MaxFatigue ) + 1 ) / 2"

Fortify Fatigue changes your Current Fatigue which throws that whole ratio off. For example, if your Current and Max Fatigue are 400 (once the 4 governing attributes reach 100 each) then that part of the formula reduces to 1 (400 / 400 = 1, 1+1=2, 2/2=1), meaning you do 1x damage or normal damage. However, let's say you fortify your fatigue just to 1200. Well, now that part of the equation reduces to 2 (1200/400 = 3, 3+1=4, 4/2=2), meaning you are now doing 2x damage. Fortify your fatigue to, say, 79600, and that part of the equation reduces to 100 (79600/400=199, 199+1=200, 200/2=100), meaning you are now doing 100x normal damage. In other words, at max Strength and Blade/Armorer skills a sword like Umbra would be doing 350 damage every swing.

Keep fortifying your fatigue and, as Kevin said, you can get millions of damage. This also works for Archery as well.

So there you go. It's possible to do tons of melee damage using broken Restoration effects too. Restoration ftw. :)
Gro-Gro Ma'Gro is the name, blunt is my game!

Mr. Ma'Gro is an orange-skinned Orc specialized in heavy armor, blunt, and punching things to death. He likes to make leather armor for the little children he keeps thinking he sees, seriously, where's the kids in Tamriel?

Thank my brother for the name, I couldn't quite come up with a creative name for an Orc.
male Breton. Lady. To lvl 30, all attributes are 100, only Luck is 50. To lvl 50, all skills are 100, Luck is 70. The whole secret: (In the main skills, those that use little. In secondary, you use a lot and all other skills). GF!
