Fatal error!
This is what happens when I click on the "Play" button:
http://store.steampowered.com
I'm using DirectX 9 and .NET Framework 4.5. Already verified the integrity of game cache and everything is fine.
If someone knows how to fix it, I'd greatly appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Forgive my crappy english. m(_ _)m

You had to do all these things...? I think I'll pass. u_u
Thanks for the reply!
Hey Axcelaw,

I informed our tech-team about your problem so don't give up, we will try to help you. :-)
Can you post us your pc specs please?

Best,
BFG Freddy

Thank you!
Here goes the specs:
OS: Windows XP
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.8 GHz
Memory: 3 GB RAM
Video Card: Intel G33/G31
Uh... I did a little research and saw that my video card is very weak. Well, Ys and FINAL FANTASY XI runs smoothly, with minor lag when the place is too crowded, so I thought this game would be the same thing.
Hey Axcelaw,
even though your other specs are fine, your video card is the weak spot.
For playing Giana Sisters:Twisted Dreams you need at least a video card which fits these requirements:
ShaderModel 3.0 DX9.0c level hardware (Nvidia GeForce 6800, ATI X1800 XT or higher)

I'm sorry but the only way to play the game is to upgrade your video card. :-(

Best,
BFG Freddy

You might need to do a fresh, clean Windows install. I had a Steam corruption not too long ago. I reinstalled Windows 10 and no more problems. If you have such an issue, other games and programs might be affected as well, even non-Steam. It's important to have you hard disks connected properly and Windows installed properly. An improper OS installation can be the cause of very subtle issues. Hopefully your BIOS / UEFI is set up correctly. Maybe set your BIOS / UEFI settings to default, check you hard drive connections and reinstall Windows - let Windows install itself the way it wants on a wiped HDD. Just install the minimum necessary: drivers and Steam, and see how it works. Be careful with optimizing software, it might cause more trouble than help. So just run Steam on a freshly installed Windows. It's really worth doing this and getting a properly working setup, you might find out that many more apps will start working better or just work correctly. The game is super fun as well!

Hello everyone,

I had a problem on linux with this game but from GOG store.. I used something to install Windows Media Player 11 or the initial Wolf Video got stuck. I noticed that if DirectX 9 is selected on the game settings it won't start unless DirectX10 and 11 was selected.

I hope this helps.

Just delete it and forget about it. You aren't missing anything great. I was going to give this game another shot before deleting it, but this error popped up and this game is just not worth the effort imo.
