Play on Easy or Normal???
I heared this game is very hard even on Normal difficulty.

I'm ok with a good challenge, but I don't like games that are frustratingly difficult. I'm just here to have fun.

So, Easy or Normal?

Easy, definitely. You can always graduate to Normal later.

the game is fairly easy for me on normal so far (except for the bosses) so i'd say play on normal.

THe game on normal isn't 'frustration difficulty'.* It is challenging without being impossible. The game teaches the player what to do in certain situations that will later present themselves again. Overall I recommend taking a day or so off break so that the game doesn't burn you out easily.

*as long as we ignore the ********** ghosts.

I played it on easy and it is frustrating.

A single checkpoint behind an easy sector followed by a challenging area, which required the player to do the easy 10-15 second tedious walk after death over and over again?

That's not challenging. That's bad level design.

Why would you put a checkpoint before an easy part of the map and then fail to provide one before the hard part?

I find myself relieved, not satisfied, after finishing every level. It's like I was in pain while playing.
