The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Morrowind, Morroblivion or wait for Skywind?
I've put about fifteen hours into Morrowind, and I was enjoying the main questline. Unfortunately, too many flaws in the game put me off; the combat system, character dialogue, other things you should know about this fossil. I tried to enjoy it, but I couldn't.

I recently installed Morroblivion. Better graphics, perhaps better gameplay, but there were framerate issues, not much done about character dialogue, and the Oblivion character models are weird. The dark elves were far too blue.

I've also been keeping an eye on Skywind. Looks far better than Skyrim, and perhaps might bring back memories for Morrowind fans, but there's no release date in sight. Some say the project could take another three years!

How could I get back into this game? Go with the Oblivion remake, wait for the Skyrim remake, or perhaps invest in some more mods that could improve Morrowind's flaws (and yes, I've tried MSGO)?

Go with Morrowind. Best game of them all TES things.

Then I would have to say "none of the above". Don't play this. Pass on it. Don't look back.

Yeah, stay away from this game... too much RPG in it. pic [s2.quickmeme.com]

If the gameplay was such a turn off for you, I would recommend waiting for Skywind. It's unfortunate, but at least you'll get to experience the story and locations. It's better than nothing.

You should reason with that thread about the flaws of Morrowind. The combat system was ♥♥♥♥♥ and you know it. Please don't post if you can't help.
I guess I'll wait for Skywind. Best not to ruin a good story with bad mechanics.

So I'm guessing Morroblivion was more or less a disaster?

You mean THIS thread? That is an off-topic thread that no one takes seriously... and you know it.

The combat is not perfect I agree, but it still works. However, you made this more about just the combat.

If you're so bent on the combat in Morrowind, give this mod a try.[forums.bethsoft.com] Yes, you need MGSO 3.0 to install it.

No, we don't know it. Combat system has flaws, but it's not ♥♥♥♥♥. It works, and its mechanics are still widely used today. Just skip it. If it's the story you want, watch longplays or something.

I like the combat system more than Skyrim. I can't help but play on hardest difficulty skyrim end up using lame exploits for all tough fights. Morrowind has more room for using imagination.

Witcher3 is a solid game. Not much going on in rpg world it seems. Any thing good? My dream game is updated Daggerfall with regions personalized by modders with semi random scaling. That game lit up my imagination too bad there is not much under surface.

Striving to learn the game and find my way out of giants castle I got stranded in was awesome rpg experience for me. Started with rats worked up to orcs finally found my way out running past giants. Died with no time left on my save from disease picked up from rat lol. At least I beat the castle.
