Click Start, then Run 'C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Saves' , then click the OK button.
This will open the folder where all the Morrowind saved games are listed.
Find the name of the saved game you wish to delete, highlight the file, then press the Delete button on the keyboard.

Just find the saves in the "Saves" folder in the Morrowind directory and delete them there.

SHIFT + LEFT CLICK to delete saves (same works to delete spells).

I have seen this claim before, but this has never worked for me. Perhaps it's because I use tons of mods.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Doesnt work for saves? Or to delete spells? Have you rebound the shift key?

I'm only talking about saves. Spells can be removed this way.

I use File explorer (previously known as Windows Explorer,) to create one folder for each character, and have 1-3 save files for each so I can rotate/overwrite save to keep the last 3 save points. If I want to change character, I copy/paste the current one into a named folder and then copy the other characther into the save folder all using File explorer that comes with windows for free. https://i.imgur.com/ThavrMB.png

File explorer can also be used to delete save files. Right click and select delete as in this picture: https://i.imgur.com/gW3YKnk.png

if your having a save delete issue and deleting the saves from root still doesn't solve it do you have cloud save on?

Can one just completely earase saves from the cloud it's self?

I have discovered a sort of work around where you rename the old saves you want to delete instead in game though it wasn't obvious at first.

- Open save game, (while in game at the point you want to save), go to one of the saves you want to replace and rename, backspace, rename and voila.

I preferred not to turn off the cloud sync so this was the next option.

It still looks messy at first but depending on the number of saves you make over the course of your character(s) you can eventually remove all the old saves, replace them with your new ones and the new names.

Hope that helps :3.

Edit: I just realised this was an old post. But it is a common question I see for Morrowind on Steam.
