What is with all these updates?

ever since the Nintendo direct, the game been getting updates like crazy. what been going on, since i haven't played any PT for a while. what going on?

For the most part, it's localisation updates because the official localisations sucked in their frst draft. Very little toleratable content in many non English-translations, for example, Russian.

yea that would do it, so they basically updating it for each version, little by little? and somehow it's messing up with the mods now? weird

If it is messing up mods, ask the mod creators to update their mods to the current version. I have to do this sometimes with skyrim mod creators. Most of the time the modders are happy to update their mods if they can. Sometimes the modders lose the files if it is a old mod and cannot update it. I imagine you will not run into this issue on this game as it is still quite new.
