that's how hard it is
-the score requirement for an s rank
-all 3 secrets found in a single run
-the secret treasure
-lap 2
-a continuous uninterrupted combo from the first room ALL the way to the end. drop it once and it’s over
some stages are a lot easier than others, for example john gutter, golf and crumbling tower are known as very easy p ranks (the latter only needs score and combo since there’s no secrets treasures or lap 2). others are notorious in the community for being tough such as oregano desert, peppibot factory and pizzascare. just do the levels you feel most comfortable with to start; easier p ranks should take around 30-60 minutes per level for the first time if you need to learn. i recommend going for s rank “practice” runs first since you wont need a combo and you can just learn the layouts. also remember you don’t need to go absurdly fast outside of the escape sequence, just keep your combo by any means necessary
as for bosses, they’re considerably easier, the hardest ones to get are definitely vigilante and pizzaface. everyone except the noise has fixed attack patterns, so be sure to learn them if you can, and take advantage of parrying
and finally just remember: there is absolutely NO SHAME in not being able to do p ranks. they’re a tough task and they’ll test your movement, memory, snap decision making and overall efficiency. its the ultimate culmination of what you’ll learn and if you struggle on or just don’t want to do certain levels it’s okay. good luck mate
I would even say WAR is my favourite level once you know it through and through, this level truly requires mastery but isn't unfair.
Except Gnome Forest, that one can go to hell.
P.S, despite the P rank being "Perfect", you surprisingly don't actually need to collect all 5 toppings for some reason. Despite this, I recommend you collect them all regardless as they each give a whooping 1000 points each and adding up to a total of 5000 points with everyone of them collected, still making them somewhat mandatory when going for a P rank as it requires an S rank which requires a lot of points.
