Drone not working?

So I'm couple missions in. I've got done from npc. I've invested several points into drone skills. I've got several tutorials about its use.

How TF I'm supposed to use it?

There is no keybind, tutorials told me to press G but then I've blown myself with grenade. Can't find it in inventory to equip instead grenades? Are my skill points wasted?

The keyboard command is in Bindings/Drone Deploy Drone.

There is no such binding in my game. Anyway I gave up, as my drone-using class was unplayable and lost interest in further play.
