Ghost Recon Breakpoint corrupted file error. "File corrupted! This program has been manipulated and maybe it's infected by a Virus or cracked. This file wont work anymore."
I've been having constant crashes with this game and just now it gave me this bland error screen ("File corrupted! This program has been manipulated and maybe it's infected by a Virus or cracked. This file wont work anymore.")
which was created by the file "UplayCrashReporter.exe"

A few days ago before buying this game, i had reset my entire PC and bought the game via Steam during the sale. Note that this is not a cracked version or an infected file as i have not downloaded any files since the reset and i only downloaded the Uplay/Ubisoft via Microsoft Store. I even verified the files through Steam and ran an AV scan, the integrity was clean and so was the scan. Is this even a legit error message?

Hey there Kermit,

It could be that the AV might be blocking a certain file from either the launcher or the game and conflicts with it when launching it.

I would suggest closing Ubisoft Connect completely from the Taskmanager and make sure that the launcher and the game are whitelisted within your Antivirus / Firewall, to avoid any conflicts when the client is trying to connect to the servers or launching the game:
Add an exclusion to Windows Security
-Select Start, then open Settings, under Privacy & security, select Virus & threat protection
Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings, and then under Exclusions, -Select Add or remove exclusions
-Add exclusions for both Ubisoft Connect and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Let us know if this has worked or if you need any further assistance.
