Ghost Recon rearranges all desktop icons in Windows 10

Hi,

I use two monitors, one UHD monitor with the 2560 x 1440 resolution and one HD monitor with 1920 x 1090 resolution. I run the game on the UHD monitor.

When I start the game on the UHD monitor using the 2560 x 1440 resolution, half way through the loading process of the game, all desktop icons on my two screens are randomly swapped and rearranged. This happens _every time I start the game_ .

The only solution to not have all icons randomly swapped between the screens and randomly rearranged, is to change the resolution on the UHD screen to 1920 x 1080 before I start the game. If that is done before the game is started, the icons on both screens remain in their place and are not randomly rearranged.

This only happens when I start Ghost Recon. It does not happen when I start any other program on the computer, game or otherwise. As I play Ghost Recon almost daily, this is a big nucense. And further more, effectively, if I want to play Ghost Recon, I cannot use 2560 x 1440 resolution on my €800 UHD monitor.

I think you should try and change that.

Can you tell us how your screens are set up? Is the second screen set to extended or duplicated?
What is the Windows display scaling on the main 1440p screen? Is it 100% or any higher number (125% - 150%)?
