How to auto launch in DX11?
Is there a way to always make the game open op in DX11? My game, when ever I open it with shortcuts, taskbar, or even launch from the GRB.exe ( NOT the GRB_VULKAN) in the install location, it always opens up the Vulkan option.

I have tried everything I have been able to find, command lines, moving the folder, uninstalling the game and choosing the dx11 on first start up. nothing seems to change the fact that the game wants to open up in vulkan.

Anyone have any other solutions? or even does anyone have the same problem?

There's a typo in the launch option suggestion:

Example with quotation marks
"D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Ghost Recon Breakpoint\GRB.exe" %command%

Just change the \GRB.exe to /GRB.exe
Seems to work from a desktop icon and ignores the steam drop down choice in launch options.

I found a solution !!!!!!!!

Go to the install location of the game (e.g. C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Ghost Recon Breakpoint), then find the two ".exe" files, now just rename like so:
"GRB_vulkan.exe" --> "GRB.exe"
"GRB" --> "GRB_vulkan.exe"

What i mean to say is just exchange the names of the executables.

This totally worked for me, as I use GOG Galaxy to launch the game and it always launched vulkan by default, completely ignoring the steam launch parameters. Doing the above steps totally fixed the issue.(I confirmed this by using MSI afterburner to check the rendering API of the game, and checked the exe name from task manager).

I felt so dumb, after seeing this work, I hope I had tried this earlier, it would have saved me 3 hours of scrolling through forums lol.
