Game can't even load from Steam
First time I tried running it, went through selection between Vulkan and DX11, went with former. Next it opens up ubisoft log in, did that.

now whenever I try to open it from steam, it runs, does a first time set-up, then promptly crashes.

Try running the ubisoft connect first in the background, It probably helps.

Tried that - I can see if in my ubisoft connect game library but can't run it from there. Still can't run it on steam :/

I tried launching it from Ubi Connect and it still kept crashing. I deleted this dumpster fire. Sad, because I bought it to play the DLC. I really loved the game.

- Does the problem happen in both the DirectX and Vulkan modes ?

Hi!

I was able to make it work by un-linking steam from ubisoft and reinstalling both ubiconnect and the game itself.

Could you please do a quick test, to check if the issue persists?

- Locate two files called pipelinecache.vk and scimitar_vkpipelinecache.bin in your Documents/My Games/Ghost Recon Breakpoint
- Once you've found the two files, please move them in a different folder and restart your PC.


Please let us know if this workaround fixes the crashes when using Vulkan API.

If the issue persists, do not hesitate to get in touch with us again.

For me it was a simple fix: Close ubisoft connect if it is already opened, and start the game. It then opened ubisoft connect and linked my game with steam.

having the same issue. how can you make your games and services so ♥♥♥♥? It must be a conscious decision, there's no way... Ubisoft is the worst game company to ever exist...

It's been over a year, & you people *still* haven't got these problems fixed? And they've gotten WORSE!?!? Meanwhile we see Ubisoft allocates time & effort into shilling useless cosmetics like "energy-efficient NFTs" (as if anyone cares), but not in fixing & making playable a game we already *paid for.* The corporate greed at the expense of even basic functionality is self-evident. Why would I wanna buy any of your stupid useless "cosmetics" if the game itself doesn't work?

Tell your boss to fire whatever "genius" came up w/ "GAmiNg as a sERVICE" b/c Ubi is clearly unable/unwilling to *deliver* "GAmiNg as a sERVICE".

*We* gave *you* money. *Your* job is to deliver a working product. I can't believe I have to explain basic fundamentals of business to a AAA company refusing to hold up it's end of the bargain.

Ubi sold us a faulty product & Ubi refuses to fix it. If this many ppl are having this significant level of issues w/ it, clearly the problem is w/ the game & the company claiming to be providing a "service". This is completely unacceptable. If Ubi does not fix this soon, GRB will be the LAST game I buy from them, b/c I'm not throwing away one more cent on some non-functional AAA *scam.*

game doesnt launch just says launching then nothing comes about then the option to click play once again shows up. is this problem my doing??? or are others experiencing same issues still

Sorry to hear it.
Are you launching it via Steam or UC?
Is the UC client updated? Please install the latest version from the official website: https://ubi.li/YVY0k If the game is in your UC client library, try launching it from there.

If this does not help

Can you share your PC specs please?
What are the GPU drivers? (date and version number)?
Where are the game and Ubisoft Connect installed? Is the UC client updated?
What screen resolution do you normally use?
