In Wildlands, it is much easier to get discovered and alert the whole base. Also, in Wildlands, the environment is more complex and there are more places to hide for the enemy AI. Overall, Wildlands is more difficult in terms of combat, but Breakpoint is more gritty and realistic in terms of weapon handling and the feel that you are in combat.
In Breakpoint, you have to interact with items or people with a letter i to find out where your bases are, they are called bivouac. In Wildlands, you need to capture a helicopter and fly over the surrounding area, that's how you discover your bases. Once a base is discovered, you can fast travel to it if you are not in the middle of combat.
I recommend that you get both games, and watch on Youtube how people clear bases.
