I recommend Gold edition as it contains Year 1 pass with episode 2 and episode 3 .
Deluxe is only cosmetics
And ultimate is basically gold edition plus some online pvp crates

IMO it is simply because you get the full story, similiar amount of story mission compared to the base game (and arguably less cringe missions) and extra drip.

Be sure to get the edition that lets you finish Siren Call mission or whatever it's called as it's an absolute must have, so you can STFU THAT ELECTRIC WHINING IN THE MOUNTAINS.

I got the basic edition few days ago. The gold seems to be extraneous stuff, I'll definitely get bored of the main game before I do all that. Will probably watch the Sam Fischer collabo mission on youtube because I love Samwise Fishdiccs and it's only 3 hours or so from what I gather.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but I know I never come close to competing Ubisoft games so I'll definitely get good use out of just the basic.
