Is Friend Pass still a thing?
Just got this game, Ultimate Edition (not sure if that matters or not) and I've seen mention of a Friend Pass version where friends that haven't bought the game can play it with you, but not solo. Seems like a pretty cool gig, but I've also seen a detail on a website that said that this feature ended a long time ago. Then, I've also seen some reports from folks that say it still works?

So, I'm getting conflicted information and just wanted to know if anyone has used a Friend Pass recently whether you were the Friend or the Host player.

Even if your friend hosts
you will get notification friend pass linked so his trial time will freeze and you can play base game, i have yet to see if we can play dlcs, but the way i heard it it works but your friend only gets XP & credits not dlc rewards from doing them
Oh okay, yeah, that would make sense.
When I bought this game it said it had friend pass (wanting to play with my son) but I can't figure out how to do it... How did your friend download the game for free through friend pass? Can you help me out? lol

He must download the trial version on Ubi, there is where 6 hours of gameplay, if he plays alone. You as a host can invite him from the game menu as a friend pass, then he can play without time limits, he will be able to play with you all your game content.
