for a game with a lot of high peaks and jump off points and a glider parachute
it is the most poorly designed game mechanic I have ever played that offers this option.
Seriously. Who had a hangover when they designed this?
Am i missing something?
Run to a ledge, hold space? then he may or may not go into the dive sequence and then he may or may not pull the parachute. Is this just a Ubi bug that I can write off and say "ok I can't do that in this game" or am I missing something?
I've tried various things like jump...then hold....then deploy but nothing seems to work consistently

You have to Sprint, hold space bar until you come to the ledge, then once you see the free jump position spam space bar any time you need to pull chute. the animations take a while.S Sometimes if it is not a proper ledge, he will just fall down to what ever the next level is. I just keep sprinting and holding space in that matter and eventually he will free jump. then again, spam space if you are close to the ground. With practice, and if you don't care about realism, you can jump off almost any building (in a base or facility for example) and land without getting hurt or dying. hope this helps

Yeah That's how I've managed to get it to work. You know there are those wooden structures that look like they are made for jump off points? About 75% of the time I get the animation and then I can deploy the 'chute. 25% of the time he just drops like a stone.
Also the parachute gliding/drop physics seem off. Its like it barely slows down a free fall lol.
So many other games with this type of feature do it way better. Oh well, I just wont use it. Other than that and a few other things, this is a pretty entertaining game.
