Immersive is the far superior playstyle. (IMO)

The game should AUTOMATICALLY start in Immersive mode. (In my opinion)


(I think) Immersive is so much more intense and satisfying... the "normal" mode feels very Arcade like and lame in comparison. (to me)

The very minimal popups and "glint" of chests keeps you in the action more, instead of having a screen full of hand holding tool tips and way points and every chest, item and collectible screamed at you.



perhaps its (It could be) just me, but I find Immersive to be the superior choice for this game. Im not super far into the game, just got it on sale, but its pretty fun, not sure why the Mixed reviews.

For context i started in Immersive mode, and flipped for a few minutes to see normal mode and quickly switched back.

Playing the game on standard immersive settings (veteran difficulty, often wounds, etc)


The getting tagged while fighting and having to try and limp or dive to cover to bandage feels "right"

There's no "superior" style to play ANY game. What is superior for you may not be good for another one. Good game is the one that affords adjusting the playstyle to the needs of many different players. And in that sense this game is really good.

I don't want to waste my precious playtime with exasperating tasks. It's good the way it is.

Hmm... I suppose you are right in that.

I bought this game few days ago. Playing on immersive settings and extreme diff, no enemy tags and game in stealth is still very easy. I never played arma 3 or any other mill sim.

Might install spartan mod for more interesting stealth

Immersive mode is the standard mode of playing the game without turning it into a Division-Destiny like and it is the superior mode. No one ASKED for gearscore elements in Ghost Recon.

Other than MMORPG and Looter Shooter fanatics, of course. UBISOFT loves them.

I did notice even on Veteran difficulty the enemies are still about as observant as a blind and deaf guy.

Oh this dude who stood up in my face with a gun pointed at me... is that REALLY an enemy? hmmm.... oh he shot me... still though... that might be Bob from accounting...


I have a couple thousand hours in Arma3, beat the campaign and DLC's... NOW THAT is a challenge lol. Those enemies are like scout snipers with the spotting they do... be 1.5km away in a bush taking aim and i swear they must see the glint of my scope because im taking fire almost immediately.

Immersive is the way to go and how the game should have been designed to begin with. Had it started out that way, it would have had a much better reception.

i played immersive because if i want to play a tom clancy game with gear scores, i'd play the division 2 instead.

Ive seen that RMJ guy play in game. All he does is yell at people i coop, its hilarious.
He's always saying he plays in Hudless and immersive but probably just plays regular lol
