Game starts default with Vulkan, you want to switch that to DirectX asap. Probably in the advanced graphic options. If you have a Nvidia GPU that should fix the crashes.

"IF" it worked before, I would remove the save file as it maybe corrupt.
UBI saves are here

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\YOUR-PRIVATE-ID#\ 11903
Steam game - not sure. I buy UBI from UBI - not steam.

NEVER post your private ID #

I still don't understand why you are still roaming these Ubi forums. Your ''private ID'' on Ubi is linked to your account and is publicly available. Removing your savegame is the last resort, and wouldn't work with Steam and Ubi storing your save file in the cloud. What OP can do is start a new save (you have 3 or 5 slots I believe) and test to see if that crashes, just so you can exclude a corrupt savegame. But don't tell him to blatanly start deleting gamefiles that are unrelated to his problem.

You can even use a back up save, I do this for many games. And the game will ask you which you want to use, the earlier local save or cloud save
"AFTER THE GAME STARTS!"

- You can ''move'' your local save file all you want, the cloud will restore the save file anyway.
- You just meant to make a backup of your saves. That's oke, i still stick to the fact that the game gives you free save slots so you can just ''test'' a new save anytime without messing with the files.

And Notice ; I SAID REMOVE, NOT DELETE! You can just copy it to desk top or even create a new folder - where it is located and just put it there. SO the game will create a new .....

FACEPALM!

And "NO" only the user has access to their private ID - it is not shared for the world to see, This is part of the services security to keep idiots from hacking said accounts!

- So you meant ''move'' and not ''remove'' which means delete.
- Give me your Ubi account name and i'll give you your Ubi ID. It's the same as your SteamID, it might be your private ID but it's not a secret or hidden at all.

I don't mind you trying to help, but the amount of confidence you have spewing your nonsense is hilarious and embarrassing at the same time.

Are you having a stroke bruv?

Almost everything you said is false, again. You even manage to contradict yourself within one paragraph, kudos for that. Takes a special breed.

I've posted this a long time ago

the constant crashing is because Ubi not giving any option to choose DX11, instead it instantly chooses vulkan, which have more problems then what it solves.

The workaround is there in the forum already there are 3 ways you can do it

The first one

1. Right Click on your game
2. Go to Properties
3. Set Launch Options...
4. Enter this command below

"FULL PATH TO GAME.EXE" %command%

E.g. "G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Ghost Recon Breakpoint\GRB.exe" %command%

The second one
1. Rename "GRB_Vulkan.exe" to "GRB_vulkan.exe.old"
2. Rename "GRB.exe" to "GRB_Vulkan.exe"

This should fool steam into using DX11 instead of Vulkan.

and the third one
is using a third party app called Steamedit, which you can found in google.

and the second option, gotta go to your installed directory and change the file, just a reminder.

Here's the know-how

on your Steam Library
1. Right click on the of the game
2. There should be a new dropdown, Find Properties, it'll open a new window
3. Click on Installed Files
4. Click on Browse...
5. it should direct you to the installed files

the files should be found on this folder

...\Ghost Recon Breakpoint\

i FOUND AN FIX FOR THE GAME CRASHING AT LAUNCH

I bought the game on Steam. When i choose to start the game in DirectX, Ubisoft apperently still launches the game in Vulkan. I had to change application name so Ubisoft thinks its launching it in Vulkan when it actually starts with DirectX.

I changed the application file name GRB_DirectX to ---> GRB_Vulkan

And i changed the GRB_Vulkan to ----> GRB_Vulkan.old

Now it starts up every time
