Lots of people don't know that. I don't buy games with online connection requirement, but the shutting down of TC will have severe repercussions on the way people choose to buy new games.

it was not normalized. This is a bad attempt to farm for clown medals. But lets assume you are serious (sad) and if you are then you should know that maybe it was normalized by scummy companies but many people are uninformed lazy people and dont know about this (always online).

Stopped buying Ubi games very long time ago which is super upsetting to me as I was a mad fan of ubisoft and would literally go into serious arguments when someone talked crap about them. But now? Ubi is nothing but a circus

Cool story bro, Ubi games are still the best sold games, Ubi games will always have online required and Ubi doesn't give a crap about the 4% that's not willing to download Ubi software. So why, if you haven't bought or played Ubi games in such a long time, why are you still lingering on the forum of a game you don't own?

Not much you can do about this. Even the saves in this game are stored on their servers.

The best thing you can do is to buy and complete it right away, if you're interested so much. Don't buy it to "save for later". Personally, with the amount of games on the market, I don't even have time to replay games anymore.

every game i own eventually will go offline and the ones that DID, all went and got patched for solo play. your crying over nothing. I also took 3 secs googled crew offline. Yes a patch is made. babies cry never look for answers. and yeah every game eventually gets single mode. wahh i cant use google. gotta love github.

the crew 1 offline patch made by modders they found offline files in the crew so they can make offline patch in this game, but how about breakpoint? devs design this game for online only, and theres no offline files..

The Crew had a single player mode, playable totally locally, and Ubisoft never cared to make the game, that was marketed as single player too, playable offline even with minimal work. I am aware of the community-made single player patch, but that is disgusting behaviour from Ubisoft, whose CEO said you don`t own any game you buy.

As Rossman et alli said: If we don't own what we buy, ****** is completely justified....

But you don't own the game it never said you do, you buy a licence to be able to play the game, same goes with many online products It's why going to the high seas and get the games for free was a thing and why companies fight it so hard.I don't know why you guys even debate it here it's all clear as day even a offline game can be takes off steam and they can take the right away to be downloaded..what are you guys trippin?

Edit : only was how you will keep the game forever is if you have a CD even that the CD can get damaged

Yes, it was a license of a game marketed as single player. Still, in UBI website and on STEAM, it was marketed as "BUY" that translates into paying to own something not clearly specified, that at first seems to be the game. The problem is that this emphasizes the premisse that they CAN disable most of the games that require online connection for whatever reason, and remotely shut down those games, even if purely single player, exactly like Google Play and APPStore have been doing wildly and just recently receiving backlash for that... Well, I simply don't buy games from Google Play, having buying plenty that just vanished from my account. I have a jailbroken tablet full of games, just for that, to NOT pay Google Play anymore for their scummy behaviour. If this behaviour from Ubisoft prevails in other games, it will be worse for us and for them, as ppl will have to do un-legit community patches and hacks to play games offline, and in that case I probably might stop buying games.

How do you think the game would sell if they instead advertised:

+ the $200 on DLCs some ppl paid for...
