More realistic damage?
Is there a way I can make damage more realistic, or at least on par with enemies? I die to a handful of bullets but enemies can take 5-6 5.56x45 to the chest before going down, without visable armor. It makes it feel less like a tactical shooter and more like a terminator game (lol)

Make sure you are playing on immersive mode to avoid your gear level affecting how much damage you deal to enemies.

I'm pretty sure I am! I shot an enemy with the HDI and he still lived, I don't know what's going on.

Also, where are the civilians? Game feels like Tarkov.

Well if you are playing with immersive mode already then that's how it is, some enemies are more armored than others, in general just aim for the head instead of chest.

The game takes place in a privately owned secret island in the middle of nowhere that was taken over by militarized forces, that means you won't find many civilians roaming around in the open, its mostly scientists working in labs or rebels hidden away.

Test the accuracy on trees at different distances, you will really see how useless some are and the amount of ammo wasted. I do this in most games. I prefer the TAC 50 snipe and the modified VHSD2 bullpup design ASR. Head shots are instant kills except the armored "big boys" with mini gun. There are no "REAL" 50 cals in this games , if you read the stats 50's use .338 ammo, which is just stupid. SO, if you play sniper class you get 3 APR rounds as you build your "power" up. APR rounds take a "bigboy" with one shot,UNLESS you are detected. When detected enemy's armour doubles. Another silly thing! The game was designed for GHOST stealth tactics not RAMBO nonsense.
Did you watch the trailer on the store page

What is your question about the trailer?

He said it's intended to be a stealth game not a "rambo" game. The store trailer is clearly showing off "rambo" gameplay.

Its both really so just play the game how you want to.

However some missions are exceptionally hard if you alert the entire base especially when playing on max difficulty, so it is something to be mindful of.

Its fine i uninstalled and going back to wildlands. BP has a lot of little frustrations that kept piling up. I appreciate everyones input though.

Oh you are coming from Wildlands so now your question makes sense, Wildlands has an absurd stealth buff and you can kill people by even one shotting their limbs,

it was one of the things this game got better, it matters where you shoot even when in stealth.

I will agree that is a negative about Wildlands. Several aspects of combat in BP are improved, but everything around it is a downgrade. AI is also a lot better (usually) in BP in outright gunfights.

some aspects re different nd good .. idk but there's something about breakpoint, xp level gear level up, modifying n leveling up the guns n all that .. even has T-800 terminator mode lol, even tomb raider ( LARA Croft ) secret task, SAM FISHER in it too, drones, behmoth n all that are great, gear leveling up xp n that powerup ♥♥♥♥ is almost feel like DIVISION 1 game .. so I like both of em but more of breakpoint

Indeed, personally I really enjoyed both games, both had ups and down but are still more similar than not at the end of the day.

I'll just say that once you get hooked by the story of breakpoint things do start making a lot of sense and you also start appreciating Auroa in a similar fashion as you appreciated Bolivia in Wildlands, its a different atmosphere to be enveloped by threats at every corner but it opened up the game for some real challenges.

If my friends had BP I'd probably agree, I can tell BP was much more intended to be played coop than Wildlands, so I'm probably just missing that. It's all the Ubisoft stuff that gets in the way; the endless cutscenes, waiting, menus, tutorials, skills, perks, etc etc it's all fluff to me. I guess I can't complain about a game having too much to offer but I'm happier with just selecting gear and starting a mission.
Upgrading your weapons to MK. III helps a bit, but I feel the same.

Armored enemies and them not really being injured or temporarily incapacitated by direct hits makes things feel a bit cheap in firefights, so I just aim for heads or nothing now basically.

I almost just want to go back to playing with gear score/loot on just to compare and see if the game feels more cohesive, because I'm trying to play it tactically and realistically but it often just doesn't feel meant for it. I might as well just make it like an action looter-shooter if it works better and not be so hesitant to trade shots with enemies.

All enemies are one shot one kill with head shots, except the heavy gunner, then it's 2 shots, first to knock of his helmet, second is kill.
It's unrealistic to think a shot to a leg is insta kill. In fact, there are times you need to shoot them in the leg and bring them down for interrogations, I guess it would be more real if you could incapacitate (not kill) all enemies with a leg shot to take them out of the fight.
