Are the DLC story lines worth it?

Just finished chapter 1 and although the story is meh and Jon is cool it wasn't really all that great. That being said I loved the gameplay, is the story gonna get better and are the other 2 chapters worth it and a follow up to the story?

I was gonna get it 2 weeks ago when it was on sale, but then I watched some video and realized all the content in the DLC is literally what I dislike about the game. It'd do myself a dis service buying the DLC and forcing myself to do more missions that involve annoying concepts like escorting, or forcing stealth. The game is already big enough to still have places to go after finishing the base game. They don't deserve anything else from me. I actually kinda hate this game but after spending nearly 400 hours on it, and not many other games are 1st and 3rd person. I try to put up with the BS without giving them anything more from me. I've sucessfully just been playing the base game without buying anything. I've formed my prefered settings and nowadays I just play with ONLY objective icons. I don't even go for the loot anymore, its to extend your playtime. You get skreds from kills and some other ways, I'm not wasting anymore of my time and energy doing the time wasters.
