Wow, real AAA-quality there, UBI
Sluggish interface, bizarre FT-system where you can travel *via* bivvies but not *from*them, servers that may or may not connect for a game it took you true geniuses to insist in making online-only, & of course the game randomly forgetting that I've done the 1st mission long ago & taking away my AI teammates. Clearly, wasting so much time & effort in greedily monetizing every little thing made for *such* a superior game. 🙄

"you can travel *via* bivouacs but not *from*them" Agreed. I tried to do it a bunch of times. To me that says it's an intuitive instinct that was not implemented. Sort of like pressing "M" again to leave the map, which it does not do. The online only is for piracy. OK, but your 2 seconds away from taking your prize (kill) whatever at a base and the game kicks you because "Their" connection was lost. I don't mind the monetization. You pay extra for anything in life. But I would rather there was quality over quantity. Do we need 5 variants of the M4? How about a better customization system for the gun smith so i could make my own variant.

Exactly!
Look, I don't begrudge anybody trying to make an honest buck, but when they focus so heavily and greedily on monetization, especially of shady things like NFTs, to the detriment of the *actual game content that is the thing that people are paying for,* that's not what I would categorize as making an honest buck orc"good work ethic."

They make a bajillion useless cosmetic BS fintiflyushki, but relatively few things we can actually interact with or use with gameplay mechanics, for how Hi-Tech the world is and how good we *know* Ubisoft can make a game.

No 3-round burst? Assault rifles upgraded even to extended magazine can only carry 25 rounds? A 30 rounds is *standard* for assault rifles, that's 10 3-round bursts. This is a well-known fact even for people outside the military, so it was a conscious decision on ubisoft's part to throw realism out the window and gimp us on magazine capacity for our main combat weapon. The extended magazine upgrade for the assault rifle should be a 100 round drum.

No vehicle support perks or class mechanics in such a massive world? Even the rather unimpressive Far Cry 6 had the magic pants that would auto-repair your vehicle. I get that Far Cry is more gonzo, and the Tom Clancy series is supposed to be more serious and plausible ( looking at you, late-season Rainbow Six Siege ), but the utter lack of any sort of vehicle support mechanics at all just strikes me as a massive gaping hole in content that they *could* (and should) have filled instead of focusing on useless nonsense.

On that note, why is there no option to set one of your AI squadies as the driver, drop away point on the map for him to drive to, and the player take up the Gunner position?

No simple tarp that our special forces can think of to unroll & throw over themselves to provide portable cover out in the field when you don't have the option to roll around in the dirt?

We have EMP *grenades,* but weirdly no EMP *mines* like in Far Cry 6 that would be really useful for laying down in the paths of convoys and payroll vehicles.

Several of the equipment wheel slots being locked, but something as basic as your binoculars is optional and keyed to the item wheel instead of having its own key like in a normal game?

Drones advertised as a big part of the game, but no fpv Kamikaze drone like in the previous Ghost Recon game?

*So* many questionable design decisions ( in an otherwise fun game from a company that we *know* can do better) that they could have addressed if they were willing to allocate time and resources to things that would actually *improve gameplay* rather than just useless nonsense to pad their coffers.

I also really don't like that we have no gradiations of player equippable armor stats, it's all just "cosmetic". 🙄
Is this a shooter game or a fashion show?

It's like being a teacher and seeing your student come in with her homework not completed, but her hair and makeup perfect. It's self-evident that there was a conscious choice for the prioritization and allocation of time, effort, and other resources toward one thing and away from the other.

If Ubisoft prioritized and allocated actually improving gameplay over all the cosmetic nonsense, etc, then we might actually have a game that isn't plagued with bugs and connectivity issues, and we would actually recommend to our friends to buy.

But at least we can collect flowers and fruits during firefights and then make sandwiches. This is so dumb, I have no words.
