Help with pinning objectives

Yes I have 3 slots on my HUD where i can pin objectives. But Why oh Why does it keep trying to only use the top slot - when the next two slots are empty?. When I try to pin a new mission it 90% of the time insists on replacing the one that was in the top slot. Sometimes I get two pin slots filled , but I've never been able to track three objectives at once. (Sorry if this is already covered but I searched pins and didnt see any answers)

Not sure what you're pinning but you can also just mouse click objectives on the map and they will be added that way

I believe missions of the same type usually replace eachother, because the game assumes there is no need to track 3 main missions at once, since you can only do one at a time.

Usually the third pin in filled when you want to track different things on top of just missions, like blueprint locations, class rank up requirements and so on.
