Early game help

Major skill issue here, however,,

I just got the game and was starting out in the story mode, using the immersive mode, Gear-ratings really are an ick to me, especially in a game like this.

However, The starting area (i presume) Mount Hogstan, ive already run into a huge issue.

Im trying to pick up this weapon blueprint thats marked, casually exploring the area and looking for intel, as the game suggests. I have guided mode off, yet id expect the area you start in, is the area to start in.

This outpost(?) Bald Peak mine, is swarming with enemies, Minigun juggernauts, and heavily armoured sentries. Where am i supposed to start?

All attempts at total stealth fall short due to the heavy number of hostiles and equipment at their disposal

Assisted mode isn't pointing me to new provinces.

"The area you start in, is the area to start in." What? Yes, you begin the game where you are supposed to begin. It isn't difficult to enter new provinces...there are no invisible walls blocking you. So what is the issue?

The first outpost i ran into was a very heavily armed one. Mini-gun wielding juggernauts and automated mortars and turrets, and lets not forget about the 30 odd guards. I wasn't expecting a jump right into heavy, intense game play, and expected a more easy initial section. I've figured it out now.

I have no idea where you went but you probably walked into a Wolf outpost that is basically end game tier, if you have gear score off it's really easy to clear it alone

Yeah, That definitely was the case, just a bit of strange and surprising choice. I understand the realism of every outpost being similarly guarded, especially with heavily armed emplacements and guards. Kinda wishing there was some poorly grouped outposts just to get into the hang of things, but i've adapted well enough. Ive played a good chunk of wild-lands and other stealth games.
