Ghost Recon won't start - U-Play error
On trying to launch in either Vulkan or DX11, I get the following error 'U-Play not found' and then a crash.
Any help appreciated.

I get the same "uplay connect not found" but at least it doesn't crash afterwards. Bought the game, but haven't been able to play it at all.

ive just the second got past this. you have to download ubisofts uplay connect and create an account. kinda sucks but it works in the end. once you've set up an account and downloaded the program just go back to steam and start it up again it will ask you if you want to connect your ubisoft and steam accounts and then should work

Are you playing on Linux by any chance? If so download a tool called Prototricks and install Ubi Connect to the Breakpoint prefix

Yes, on Linux. I've played Ghost Recon Wildlands most recently, been playing Far Cry 6, etc. Ubisoft games. _Those_ games install Ubi Connect and start it running before they do. This one doesn't.

I also purchased one of my favorite games at a discount to play on the Steam Deck, but due to this error I can't launch the game. Is there a solution or not? it 's still not clear ) . I have already tried to install the uplay launcher via the desktop. But even when it starts, the launcher offers to buy the game again. Maybe it's worth creating a new account? Or is there simply no solution as a result?!

On the PC, by the way, it was also initially cursed at the lack of Uplay, but after installation, the game clung normally and started. And I played for more than 2 hours)))) which will not allow me to issue a refund... How famously we were divorced..)))

I found the way. Go to Installed files, find Ubisoft Connect .exe and update it. You will need to make an account if you don’t have one already.
Why this isn’t highlighted by Valve/Steam as part of the purchase process is beyond retarded

As I did:
1. Download UbisoftConnect launcher from desktop mode
2. Add a third-party game via Steam and install the launcher. Leave a check mark to run immediately after installation.
3. Log in to your account.
4. Go to the list of games - and there is a GRB, but for some reason they offer to buy it again.

If you just log out and try to run the game via stream, then this message still appears.
What am I doing wrong?

Download Uplay > creat/log your account > launch Breakpoint from Steam > activate items on Uplay (Breakpoint) > play the game.

I do not use Uplay, it's only used to verify i own the game, it's minimized on background.

And how do you install uconnect? Downloading the launcher via the browser in desktop mode?

I am also having trouble running this game.

I installed ubisoft connector on desktop mode. I have GRB on Steam library installed. But when I try to launch the game it still says UPlay not installed.

I even tried downloading the game via Steam on desktop mode and still ran in to the same error.

With regards to this advice

"Download Uplay > create/log your account > launch Breakpoint from Steam > activate items on Uplay (Breakpoint) > play the game."

When you say 'launch breakpoint from Steam", at what point do you activate items on Uplay? Wouldn't you have to leave game mode and swap over to desktop mode, activate items, and then return to game mode?
