Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Why so negative reviews?
I find breakpoint to be more immersive than wildlands but breakpoint has some real bad reviews why? is it performance issue? or just game is bad?

I gather you have not played for long. To a certain point the Game had so many possibilities, and the best UBI offered was the Ghost Experience which was welcomed. DLC's were poor like the Main game, unless you like a blast and kill sort of Game. Being a Fan of the Franchise, us Old Timers expected more. I have put in Thousands of Hours (sorry forgot how many), mainly we made out own Missions, which had to be done by honesty as not possible in reality. One Virtual-Chris made was see how long we could last no deaths (we always do Extreme/Elite), I think one had 2500 kills, I was very close, but after a while got bored and moved on. (played from day one). Now most of my friends at time prefered stealth, true Gamers. Team Work. I want to add, people have different choices on Gameplay and fair enough. We begged for a Mission Editor, but UBI failed to deliver as they made no money!!!. Now on Game the Missions are poor, very Fantasy, even though like a lot have got to Max all out. (even on Elite Extreme). I have only just started playing again, now and then, Still use 1 Gun Extreme/Elite with 1 pistol.
I appreciate your post, and do not know how you like to play. UBI had massive support but was only interested in Money. (DLC's were poor), and have been a Fan since day 1 of Francise. What was wanted and asked for was a Mission Editor, but UBI could make no money so ignored (like many posts).
Bugs are still present to this day.
I would love to know your Gameplay and wish you the best, maybe meet up on game one day .
People love to hate on ubisoft for reasons completely unrelated with their games.

I'm also enjoying breakpoint even more than wildlands, both are great games.
dont know breakpoint is for me a little bit better then wildlands...in wildlands i have the feeling all the time i fight against clones...all looks so same...but its my feeling

Over 2600 hrs , had it since the beta. For me, it is the better. Over 2300 hrs in wildlands.......... What kills wildlands is all the grinding for weapons- parts. And I only need the MK249 for emergencys. Well over 100 replays, lost count. All games have good and bad points. I play all games as a ghost!
After testing every weopon in BP. I bought what I prefered and parts, and a chopper with G money I saved. This made replays so much more enjoyable. As I had what I wanted at the very start. I created a Save- back up, in other games and just load it up when I wanna replay. To remove the grinding . What adds replayabilty is knowledge of tactics and the ability to try so many different from "lone wolf"long ranged sniping to short weapons black ops Infiltration. Very few games allow this. Grinding removes the desire to replay " OH NO I HAVE TO DO ALL THAT AGAIIN"!

As for so many crying the blues with Nvidea, Sadly nvidea has a driver issue, they cannot figure out Vulkan with this game. Just like they did with "pure hair" in tomb raider games long ago. But this is a bigger issue. Then the people crying the blues with Ubi not starting...... ever think of disabling all winblows very bad security, restarting PC- WOW it works now.............. Long long list of just cluelessness. Yet they blame it on the Game- Devs ........ Never look at what is "home". Why should they it could never be thier PC. Call of duty works fine!!

I have no problem with Nvidia and Vulkan, but Vulkan is not that great poor shaders. I prefer to use Rshade and adjust to my taste. I do agree though Game can be played in many Ways my preferred is stealth. The Missions are poor though. and bugs still not fixed. One problem is, it is repetitive in AI, would have been great if enemies changed. I suppose we all have our own tastes, where many of us from beginning preferred stealth, and reality. Breakpoint is better in Graphics, Having played many times, making up Missions and doing others, in a sort of Imaginary Scenarios, and from Melee only no weapons, got too boring. After completing all DLC's on Extreme/Elite, after was routine. One I found boring was the Golem Island, the Bullet Sponge Drones.
As for COD!! well scrapped that Franchise long time ago, never play PvP.
I suppose I am clued up on Computers, but saying that rarely had a problem, other than Server Side. I am waiting for Arma 4, Arma 3 was great but a bit OTT on controls.
Breakpoint still has it's good points, just a shame they never released a Mission Editor, Game would of really took off.
I have been playing a little on Breakpoint of late, and to be honest the Part from, Beginning to Say Erewhon, seemed liek a challenge and a survival.
I would that say Ghostie now/currently [sorry I've been playing Ghost Recon since it came out on the O.G Xbox...yep I'm old] has lost the seriousness, that hard edge focus that the previous games had, I swear find the original opening for the first ghostie, when the guy says "the year is 2008..." and he starts explaining what the situation is, the military soundtrack kicks in, my mind just flipped into "pay attention solider, there's a serious conflict in eastern Europe, that could explode in WW3, your job is to go in, and maintain each country's independence and stop old Soviet ultra nationalists absorbing them back into the USSR's orbit...there's no chit chat on mission, you equip your four man squad, weapon suppression isn't available on the fly, you hunker down, watch for patrols, set up feints, sniper points, ambush lmg positioning, rifle men are all single fire or burst, snipers single, support full auto, your ghosts' can earn medals, extra health, and access to addition weapons for mission success, they can perma-death and you will lose all of the progress made and then have to recruit a ranking fng, they can get injured, so you either risk keeping them in the field, or grant medical leave via picking a new/seasoned recruit oh, and no osp on weapons [could be wrong though] you made your ammo last, you didn't want to be stuck with your side arm...and that's just the first Ghostie!

Island Thunder: more the above, with a dash more action!

of them all Advance war fighter one: that was militant game period! you could either get stuck in, or sit back in command your ghosts, when you tell them to fire at will they'd say "Roger that, go aggressive!" good A.I in a pinch

Wildlands did a good job, it's enjoyable, however, it always felt/feels like a GTA-5 knock off made with money to burn but the Dev's had to be constantly reminded management it's Ghost Recon, then Devs' had to remind management again that breakpoint isn't the Division 2 [hence the realism modes].

And over 22 years later Breakpoint and wildlands in many ways remind me of "OFP". Open world -coop, yep even way back then. And all we had was DIAL UP isp. rofl

With you there Bro. I respect your play, some of these old Games were classic. Now too much PvP, and we know where that leads. Played all those mentioned. Remember playing COD 1!! but like most have gone to rip off PvP. Yes Companies know they can squeeze money out of PvP, just kids use Parents money. OK we all screw up, sometimes because of poor AI, (if playing serious). Sometimes hard to find a decent squad, but hopefully Games will realise PvP is defunct (always Cheats, but hey they profit anyway). But to me have helped others, until they are too gunho on easy. What makes a game is lastability, too learn from mistakes (all been there), and even as I have come back after a longbreak, not a lot has changed, and miss coop (serious of not). End of day UBI had a hit IF only they did not rely on PvP.
Because it's a generic Ubisoft open world game full of busy-work that in the end doesn't matter and makes you schlep your character from one extreme of the map to the other in a lifeless environment that has an uninteresting backstory and ultimately was just another platform to sell micro-transactions.

And just for reference: I'm playing the Original Xbox version of GRAW 1 and it's a far superior game despite being a heavily cut-down version of the Xbox 360 version. Meanwhile, I've put 23 hours unto Breakpoint and have not gotten anywhere near the same amount of entertainment.

I must admit the previous Genres were great. Breakpoint had every oppurtunity, to make this Big. Graphics are great, even though shaders help. The things it had going for it, are Solo, Team play and PvE. A lot are fed up with the Generic PvP tripe, which will aways have those lamers who cheat. As I have mentioned played a bit of late, but not Mission wise, in fact Ignored the trip to erewhon, and just hunted, seems I have played over 3000 hrs, most of that learning methods of playing, like Melee all up to erewhon, including the Wolves by Walker at beginning. That took time and patience and I think I did 38 before getting there all Melee. Whoever designed the Game, had no clue on Missions, or should I say fantasy stories. The Azraels, and Drones, and the Wolves suddenly on top of you if spotted, is far fetched. The Enemy especially Breachers run with a Rocket up their ass, and can climb up and down steep cliffs?? like walking a flat path. I must have see RMJ before, as he is old school too. The best Inclusions were Ghost Experience, I only Play Extreme/Elite, and the Last DLC showed some promise. As for Terminator, and the Gas one, they were poor. I also maxed all on Wildlands, which have revisited about a year or so again, but that still has flaws never fixed, and a bit clunky, though entertaining. Without a list, I have played about all Military Games, like these, Medal Of Honor, Commandos, Delta Force (which I see they are releasing a new one in a year or two, COD, Arma 3 + other Genres. Advanced Warfigter was good. Nowadays seems Companies want to rip off kids, with their PvP/Sell items and Cheats.
Forgot one thing I would have liked is the ability to set your own Start Point, so us who want to play our own Missions, have that ability.
Crashes a lot.

Use DX11 if you are crashing.

The game runs better on vulkan performance-wise but DX11 is more stable depending on your hardware.
Breakpoint is worse than Wildlands in every regard.
Man, I try not to judge, but it seems rather telling that the people who love this game the most really struggle to write coherent sentences.

I have to disagree with you there. I was getting ~20 FPS using Vulkan.
