Character deleted by game (new Ghost mode?)
So apparently this is only for the character you have in save slot one. I had a character there totally deleted by the game. This is some new Ghost mode. If you exit out of the game and come back, for some reason the character dies off screen. Sarcasm, freken game deleted my character in slot one. 300hrs gone. All items collected, gone.

Thanks, I have started a ticket. Also posted on their site, the one that is to be taken down in favor of Discord. That have a sticky there of this particular problem. Others have posted there even just recently stating the same issue. I was one boss away from beating Motherland.

Wow, probably a rookie technician would be better than them? I mean, i could have expected them to check backups and restore player's data on request or something like that. Ubisoft has cloud backup so they should have some. If they don't, what's the purpose of cloud backup in uplay/steam that we have to sync every time we launch the game. Idk what ubi is thinking, really.

Looks like it's Steam integration issue. Probably disable cloud saving in steam and ask ubi to restore the backup in their server? Otherwise U don't really know. I know it sucks.

I don't expect to hear from them just going through the motions. Yeah, I'm sure they could easily retrieve that information. Ubi is at a point where they have FU money. So basically that is what they are saying. "We have your money so...FU".

If you don't mind me asking, did they ask you to provide any sort of information for your character to restore (if any)? What was the overall process? Only asking so I know what sort of info to keep handy just in case.

"Make sure that you do not start a new save game on the corrupted save slot."

The giveaway that the game is going to over right the save is at start of the game. Instead of going through the usual start up screens the game will jump to the new character intro were you choose immersive or gear score. If this happens tab out and close the window from the desk top.

Also it may be a good idea to save the saved folder of the game to a backup up. The save folder is in the Ubisoft folder not the steam folder.

Appreciate it, hopefully no one else has to go through any of this but good info to know in case they do.

Go to the Support website they will fix it for you, it's because you did something fishy and the system didn't get you files

Yeah, at least once a sitting the game tries to delete my first character.
