-Lower settings
-Run vulkaninfo.exe and scroll to top. See if you have any layers which rely on an older version and uninstall or update the programs if possible
-Disable full screen optimizations for GRB_vulkan.exe and run as admin
-Set opengl/vulkan present method for GRB_vulkan.exe in nvidia control panel to layered on DXGI swapchain
-Disable BG/monitoring apps/anti-malware
-Disable overlays
Can't roll back drivers to a version which supposedly works. Some people have apparently had luck with the above suggestions.
In my case, I can run the game at ultra 3440x1440 on a 4070ti but have to limit the fps to 60. So far I've played for close to 10 hours since without a hitch or crash. I know the gpu is capable of much more, but I get none of the stutterfest like with DX11.
Beyond trying a cap, you might also try finding an older Vulkan runtime. You'll likely have to find and delete your current files and install the old version. I personally don't feel compelled to go this far with it for one game.
It doesn't appear nvidia is acknowledging the problem and I believe they even removed this from their known issues several drivers ago without ever issuing a fix.
Ubisoft is not going to do anything at this point because they've ceased support for the game. The most you will get is a generic scripted response.
i optimised using gforce experience (ultimate quality) and still it crashed. from the fps counter in the benchmark it was trying to render @ something like ~130 fps.
i then tried enabling vsync and found it no longer crashed. vsync for my monitor is much lower @ 60hz. performance for me is now buttery smooth 100% of the time.
i don't know if that's a solution for everyone, or even if it's an acceptable solution, but that's how i solved it.
