They are too lazzy to write a "logicz good stories"
I imagine they will disable always online functionality......
The Cycle Frontier just shut down last week and no refunds. Alot of online games are shutting down.
The Cycle Frontier refused to add a none pvp only mode though.
all content lost
Ubi did not provide any fix for DLCs single player content once they shut down other games severs in the past, they just don´t care, they only care about the latest release, all that is more than 3 years old doesn’t get any support.
if you want to play older UBI games you can only do thanks to community patches, mods and such.
but in this case all content will be lost because no online server no game at all.
say no to online only single player content.
this stupid trend needs to stop asap.
what i can imagine is they will shutdown the servers and you still can play the game in single player mode.
i still can play the older Ghost recon game Wildlands just fine, but i no more can join random players, still i can play with my friends.
btw 76 you always will be in a servers with other players.
Breakpoint you can play single player alone, only in the main base you can see other players.
if you like shooting doing tactical missions get Breakpoint.
if you like gathering, crafting, and building get Fallout 76.

"Presumably, the loss of access to DLC is due to the fact that Ubisoft games, even the newest ones, check the list of purchased DLC by contacting the online service directly at the time of each game launch. No online servers – no DLC."
and in case of this game, no online servers - no game at all.
afaik nope.
and that is why I am concerned.
have the game on Ubi crap platform and been playing mostly solo, I like the game, still prefer Wildlands for a number of reasons but Breakpoint is also quite good now with all the customization and patches, the idea that this game may just stop working one day in the future really pisses me off because I love to revisit older games from time to time.
there are only 2 things that can happen to preserve this game:
1) Ubi does patch the game one last time prior to shutting down the servers to allow at least solo play without online connection.
2) some hacker/cracker find a way to make the game available offline.
both are equally unlikely to happen.
now I would understand losing a game that is purely multiplayer oriented but Breakpoint offers tons of solo content so yeah this is highly problematic because it´s pretty sure one day they´ll shut down the servers, soon or late but rest assured one day they´ll decommission this game like all the others.
Ubi should have made the option to play offline with the last patch they released last year but they didn´t, they already said that support is over for this game and no more patches will be released.
