How do you start with friends in Co-Op

I have some friends that just picked up the game and we want to play via Co-Op from the start. How do we all start in the beginning mission? The Co-Op tutorial wasn't very informative.

First, add each other from ubisoft connect
Second, press menu (in kbm, escape), roster, invite your friend or find your friend and press join

hey guys i need help with this subject, me and my friend who has this game on ps5 cant play together. in friend list i cant see my freind in online section but in reality he is onliine

ask him to be sure he is not marked offline in one of his profiles. Offline invisible that sort of thing. that might be it.

bumping a dead thread, but can anyone confirm if i can play this or wildlands on pc (ubi launcher) with a friend on ps5? this thread seems to confirm it but im not entirely sure
