Let me be clear. I own the game since 2020 when it was "messed up" and "incompleted mess"
Ubi added features as time goes, and at 2021 it was a game I truly enjoy. However, along with my experience playing 500+ hours in this game, I would be lying if there are no noticeable bugs even at latest build. There are a few noticeable ones now. It's not as bad as other ubisoft games like Assassin's Creed Unity, but still has those bugs. Even some bugs can be exploited. For example, easiest one: When gearscore is on, you can rapidly click on your current preset 5x in succession and it will refill your ammo, before switching your current gun to pistol. So calling this game has no bugs is straight up lies. I don't hate the game, I don't fanboy either. Fact is fact guys.
For the prices. Steam NEVER set price for any game they don't publish. Valve only set prices on their games, like counter strike series, half life series, left for dead series, team fortress series, so on. What steam did was recommending prices and their regional pricings, it's up to the publishers to set up their own price, and decide if they sell it more on a certain country, or even disallow the country to buy it completely. So again, it's the publishers decision and not steam.
For OP: a Triple A (AAA) game are set to cost 60$ is a common practice, steam, uplay and epic all the same. It just discounted differently and in different timing in each platforms. You can't just say ubi sets ghost recon at 10-12$ in uplay. It's around 10-12$ cuz it's currently on a sale. Like a store giving discount for certain item cost 60$, other store may not give the same discount. It originally cost 60$, look on price cut in uplay/ubiconnect/ubisoft sitesz. Unless your eyes have a problem and you cannot see clearly, you can see it.
And I don't care if you only play by 2 hours, got 100 hours, 2000 hours, 100000 hours, or even if you play this game your entire life. Misinformation is misinformation, no matter how much you brag your hours in, remember that.
Again, please check for the truth before you guys post. Spreading misinformation to the forum is awful. You can voice your opinion, but don't spread misinformations.
Have a good day.
this game is ♥♥♥♥ and ubisoft should face lawsuits for selling a unfinished game. crashes every time it launches.
By the time I turned on gear score all my gear was automatically 250 , At that point I had not even finished a single campaign fully before going to raids
Oh absolutely - it's not game-breaking in any way; but it just highlights a level of laziness on Ubisoft's part. They obviously went to the trouble of hiring a female voice actor (or at least, giving Nomad's lines to an existing actor), but couldn't be bothered to tweak maybe a handful of lines from NPCs. It would have been better, in all honesty, if the option to play as female Nomad was removed and it simply forced you to play as a male Nomad; if they weren't going to support a female Nomad character.
Whilst I agree being able to play as a female Nomad is a better option, if the game constantly refers to the character as a man it should at least try to be true to that and have you play as the 'canon' Nomad. Ultimately Ubisoft really should have had their voice actors record just a handful of alternative dialogue just to acknowledge a female Nomad.
Having a vastly different experience does not a liar make, nor inexperienced.
you can be on a crappy computer and this game will still run like crap and give u tons of problems. im on a brand new gaming laptop that not even 2 month old yet and im already saving up to get a new gaming desktop since i sold my old gaming setup to a friend.
my laptop spec are
OriginPC EVO17-S FHD 144hz with I7 12700H and RTX3070TI and 64GB of ddr5 ram along with two 2TB samsung 990pro nvme drives running in raid 0. and even with this decently high end laptop with window 11 still has problem trying to play/run Ghost recon breakpoint.
the way i get the game to work is by deleting DataPC_TGT_WorldMap.forge and DataPC_DX11.forge file and then launch the game and hope it doesnt crash if it does then normally the next thing i do is restart the laptop and have steam verify the game files and then launch the game again and it will then run without crashing. now i did hear online that certain programs running in the background of ur system can cause the game to crash so another thing that might help is open task manager and close programs that ur not using that running in the background.
but this kinda shows that the game is truly unfinished since people with older systems are having problems and people like me with brand new laptop/desktop with newer hardware are having the exact or diff set of problems with this game.
yes wildland was buggy too but i never had to jump through hoops and delete files every time just to play breakpoint without randomly crashing 5 seconds to 15 mins into the game.
i am using DX11
