Btw, this is not a "Banjo and Kazooie" style console platformer. It is also not Hitman or Splinter Cell. Seeing your third person avatar from 'the side' allows you to digest more information, if you play completely without HUD/UI, about your character health. It is also more cinematic.
This game has a 'dynamic cover' system, which allows your player character to 'stick' to objects at close range. It takes a bit of time to get used to the movement. I would have preferred to switch 'left/right', but that is not this game.
I get the arguments about a camera behind the player BUT that would make it difficult to see what is ahead.
I love first person games, but Breakpoint is probably the first third person game that I am enjoying so much (on a par with ARMA 3).
There is good reason most third person shooters use over the shoulder.
