I played 50 hours and only made it to 10% of the first (main) story.
This game is like Skyrim. You can get lost doing side quests just for fun, but the Main Campaign is about 20 hours or so, if you ignore everything else. The 2 DLC Story Episodes are 10 hours each.
Overall, this game has a lot of content (over 100 hours?) and you can play in so many different ways (the game allows you to turn on/off major gameplay elements), so it is not going to get boring.
The main game loop is around you (solo/coop or with NPC team) strategically 'liberating' outposts, which have multiple points of interest and diverse enemies.
You can attack using recon and stealth tactics, taking out one/two enemies at a time. Or you can 'hack' technicals, disable generators, lure enemies, take out snipers first - heavy armored enemies last, or attack with your NPC team mates, or drop a drone strike, or do a mix of everything. You can also spec your skills towards your preferred type of gameplay, or a mix of it. It's really an RPG.
