How to change between Direct X and Vulcan?

Hey all, I've read that you can launch the game in either Direct X or Vulcan. Anyone know how? Am having big problems with lag/frame drop after using menus in the Vulcan version. Hoping running in Direct X will solve.

go to Ubisoft connect.
click at little arrow ( more actions ) under Breakpoint then Create desktop shortcut.
now you have 2 shortcuts at your Desktop one of them is Vulkan

Thanks for the advice but I do not have the option to create a shortcut :-/

Same i have no option to swap- Vulkan is constantly crashing

go to Ubisoft Connect then Games then at Installed list you see your games you can find the option there like in this picture

after you hit create shortcut you find 2 shortcuts at your desktop one DX11 and the other one is Vulkan

Does the launch parameter work in steam? It helped me in some games (-dx11). Mb will help here.

i don't think it going to work. you must do it from Ubisoft launcher

It simple. Go to Steam library. Click on game in left list for show content right side. Click big green icon PLAY. After You should see chose for launching game via Vulkan or DX :)

That doesn't exist with the Steam version. All you have is this : https://i.imgur.com/tANJfW1.jpg

Creating the shortcut from Steam only creates a Vulkan shortcut.

This works, but it's a crap workaround. It's the only way I've found to get the game to actually work from Steam.

/edit: Under Properties, then Launch options for the game in the Library adding:

"D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Ghost Recon Breakpoint\GRB.exe" %command%

Seems to work fine. You might need to alter the path depending on where you've installed the game.

i have Epic version of the game. and i am glad someone with Steam version helped.

yep. this works perfectly, with this line your desktop shortcut will always perfectly lunch not a vulcan version, but a GRB.exe.
