Permanently disable in-game popups and advertisements
Besides the fact that there are ads taking up 1/3rd your screen anytime you go to your menu in-game, we now have popups appear while actively playing. This is something I'd expect only a sleazy company like EA to do. Now I have these "Discover AI Teammates" ads popping that completely stops whatever I'm doing where the only option is "T LEARN MORE" that does nothing when I hit T or left click it. Where's the "Permanently stop bothering me" button? I've had this pop up 4 times, and every time I have to Alt+F4 to get rid of it since it blocks any other input but the one that doesn't work. If there is no way to disable this option, I'm sorry, I loved the previous game, but I'm done with and will be looking for a refund. I bought this for good gameplay not to experience EA-esk advertising in in-game menus and having forced "Learn More" adverts pushed in front of the actual gameplay.

I have the same issue. I can't dismiss the message and have to force close the game. I don't have a solution. Just sayin that it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I have to close the game I PAY FOR because UBI needs to push their garbage AI teammates.

Early on? I have 100 hours on this save, M or T(probably a keybind difference) as it shows for me does nothing. Same with spamming escape. This seems to happen as long as you're playing solo which I do because the AI is a bit OP in my opinion and I hate hearing how I should "drink water" every time I let my stamina drop. I get this message every 30 minutes or so and have to Alt+F4 to get it to go away and relaunch the game.

I don't experience that at all, I play with no near no hud though. Try turning off those alert markers in the hud. The one that says "Fall back"

I have those disabled. I like milsim games so even when I play more relaxed games like these it's always with minimal hud possible.

This is the popup message I'm talking about.

Try using a controller to remove the prompt.

Controller doesn't remove the popup, and the UI is completely unresponsive. Literally have to restart the game every time. Spent 20 minutes trying to get it to go away.

Is this for real?
I want to buy this game, but I don't want to see any ads when I pay (even with 80% discount)

In case anyone else stumbles upon this thread looking for an answer to the same problem:

It seems the trick is to run Ubisoft Connect and/or Steam (if bought and launched via Steam) as Administrator; doing this allowed me to close the popup properly and, so far, I haven't seen it again since. I own and play the game via Ubisoft Connect so I can't test if running Steam as admin would be entirely necessary for Steam copies, but if you're not running the full Ubi app at the same time, then it will be necessary for you regardless.

Some weird additional popups happened right after closing the first, but they just took taps of Space and one F (for a weird list of numbers) to clear away. Also, to be clear, I'm still waiting for the Teamwork popup specifically to show up again; the strategy I proposed above worked for a second popup (about Conquest or something) that's been bugging me, but, after many attempts to trigger it, I haven't seen the first one since closing the second.

Just to round off this necro-posting session:

Under Settings > INTERFACE you can disable every pop-up, hint, and warning to achieve a completely "clean" screen.

You can do this on an existing save as well as a completely new run.

Already did this at the very start, but the popups described in this thread appear regardless of interface settings.

I bought the gold version on the summer sale and I have literally NO popups asking me to buy anything.

Ive only played about 7 or 8 hours but never had a single popup in that time. I also play on immersive mode, not sure if that matters.
Tsubasa Jul 8, 2024 @ 6:50pm
These popups aren't suggesting any additional purchases, and mode does not matter (I also play Immersive).

OH, those tutorial popups....

just hold T and watch them, or scroll through them... takes like 10 seconds

For that to work, they actually have to respond to the prompted inputs/mouse clicks; the entire premise of this thread is the fact that they were not working as intended.
