No gear score player wants to raid

Hello

I am playing this game with gear score turned off, as i find that entire concept uterly disgusting. However, i do want to try raiding, it looks fun, and i like the rewards you can get from it. When i switched on the gear score i have around 215-220, but all my weapons are grey, and i know there is some rarity BS in this game.

So the question is, what do i need to raid if i just turned on the gear score for the first time? Am i okay with my own gear, or do i need to get something else? And while we're at it, if i get some loot, what will happend to it if i switch back to no gear score?

Bonus question, i saw that raid bosses drop some badass armor that is not listed on customization screen. Can i use them as customosations, or are they "gear only" or something?

1. if you have grey rarity, you can practically play the raid, just know that you need to compensate for the buffs they gave from higher rarity (better handling, more damage to drones, etc).

2. what you need to do to ready up for raid is to stock up for healing meds, you won't have time to use your first aid, thats why you need to use syringes (either MK1 or MK2). and by stocking up I mean stocking up resource to make them. you can only carry 4 for MK2 and 6 for MK1,but you can always carry 900++ resource to make them, so you can make them on the fly, do remember that the UI is still suck.

and in the mean time you can always grind for stats too. truth be told GS is the last thing you would care cause it will be long to get to 300. thats why either focus on stats or the weapons you like. and here's the thing, you can only make weapons up to 250 Gear Score from the store. 251 and up its all rng, grind, and raid.

3. I never experienced this thing in between 215-250 GS, what I know is that on 250 your equipment is locked if you turn off the GS.

4. if you get them from raid bosses or chest in golem island while the raid is on, yes you could use them. from what I experience, truth be told I've neglected raid ever since it's inception, recently I started playing and gotten the Architect Pants - Engineer. it automatically unlocks aswell for the customization part aswell. your experience may differ tho.

you can however do class mission to get them instead of doing the raid, if you prefer that, but know that the missions are absurd in a way that makes people turn away from it and play the raid instead.

Heya just wondering, did you upgrade your guns to MK3 before switching to gear score on?

Yes, i have so much materials, i don't play below mk. 3 even if i'm just trying a weapon out

Also, keep a note that you can always craft new weapon out of your blueprint just before going raid. (And honestly, your gearscore would bump quickly on raids so this wouldn't much matter early (until the supercomputer)

You can't you need a minimal gear score of 150 to raid.

Sadly enough it is stupid since breakpoint would be better without these raids and a gear score

when i turned gear score on for the first time (30-ish hours in), i was instantly granted full gear with around 210 score, as very clearly stated in original post

Its been a while, I am sure I went through the entire game without ever turning on the gear score, and then when I wanted to raid, if I remember correctly mind you, all my gear I owned turned into common weapons with around 210 gear score each. After all this time though, details are hazy
