Are there cheats?

When playing a sandbox game, sometimes I just like to mess around and go wild. Cheats help with this, so I was wondering if there are cheats for this game, and if so, does anyone know what they are?

Yes, I know that someone could develop a mod in the Workshop to do this, but that assumes someone knows how to do it (I certainly don't) and keeps it updated so it doesn't break the game whenever the developer updates the game itself.

Game scripts r closed by devs so you cant do anything with game files xept dupe cannons (animation distance abuse and stuff like that). By enabling debug in engine.ini you wont achieve anything :)
In a few months they will unlock scripts and then we will have cheat menu (customizable f11 window), char\ships editing etc etc.

No one stopped players from cheating, dude. Its complicated because of engine operating principle. And since devs wanna save scripts from being modded (for a while) it afffects on cheats. And yet ppl can easily use CE and get what they want (just be savvy).

I found a method on the Internet to use cheat engine to modify the numerical values of the Caribbean Legend game. Just search for the numerical values using strings.You can use it to modify money, health and many other things. Mine have been successfully modified.

I've heard that the DRM for the game will freeze the game when using CE. People are discussing it on the Feedback thread.

Just start CE before start the game. Also do not spend to much time in CE screen. Always save before trying to move to CE screen just in case.

Have you found a way to modify the PIRATES stat values? It's difficult to scan them since they don't really change

i saw the suggestion to add.0 to the end when searching for strings, i had it work on my health (yay god mode!) but I cannot figure out how do it with items, pesos or doubloons. any suggestions

don't add a `.0` for money, the trick is that you can't change the number of characters in the string, so search the value keeping the character count the same by selling and buying things, then change the value to all 9's with that number of characters, then sell some stuff and start a fresh scan for the new number with the new character count, repeat until you have what you want. (The same is true of pretty much every other value in the game.)

i remember on CoAS, u had to go to the config files where it said "money" and instead of entering "0's" u would enter "9" which "999,999,999" is what u got for money after u saved the file and then started the game and it was there. on here CL i cant even find the file to change the money system.

Yeah you search 5000 as string, change the number ingame to something else that also has 4 digits, for example 5100, search that, repeat till you have a couple options, change to 9999, sell something so the number has 5 digits like 10100, start over fresh, making sure to keep the number with 5 digits, etc etc etc
